I have a background in Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting, but decided on a career change after struggling to find a local independent children's shoe shop. Currently there is no statutory requirement in the UK to qualify as a shoe fitter and I am only one of a handful of registered members in Gloucestershire working in children's footwear.

I am very happy to check fitting and provide general advice on shoe buying and foot health. Louise has since gone on to complete her training with the Society of Shoe Fitters in Shoe fitting and Foot Health. Louise shares my passion for shoe fitting and knows only too well how important a good fitting shoe is having a little girl who suffers with hypermobility.

About the Shop Report

The shop has been carefully designed with children and parent's needs in mind to make shopping for children's shoes a more pleasurable experience. It is easily accessible for prams and buggies and it has a funky vibrant feel. The colourful artwork has been provided by local children's artist www.colourtown.co.uk and to keep siblings and waiting children happy there are indestructible toys and an integrated train set.

We stopped by to collect our babies first shoes after an earlier visit in which we ordered them :) the ladies here are very welcoming and really knowledgeable.
Our little one had a brilliant experience and looks great in his shoes.

I always return here for my kids school shoes. Bev is a super sales lady and won't let you leave with a pair of shoes unless they are perfect for your little one's feet. She goes above and beyond to help!

Thank you for excellent service and advice, for telling us that our not-quite-yet-walking baby girl didn't really need shoes yet if we'd prefer to wait, and for offering perfectly fitted pre-walking shoes. Big bonus : something must have clicked because the same day we visited she had her first independent steps!
