Hazel Bank is based on the grounds of the Knaresborough Gun Club which has been established since 1960. We are situated right on the edge of the Vale of York with great views all round. We really think there is nowhere better to go to shoot on a warm, summer day! Here you can find a relaxed, informal environment with plenty of like-minded people who will welcome you to the ground.
Whether you have never tried this sport before, or are looking for extra tuition to keep your eye in, we have experienced instructors who can get you hitting clays from the word go. Our 3.4 acre site is dedicated to shooting and we have the perfect environment from which to train any person in the skills they need to become a good shot.
Our 3.4 acre site is dedicated to clay shooting with many different disciplines all possible in one place. Cartridges can be bought on site and we have refreshments available for when you're having a break between rounds. You will always find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere whether you are very new to the sport or a seasoned veteran.

My wife and I had a great time on our clay pigeon shoot experience 11th Sept with Instructor Graham. The experience was well managed, Graham has an excellent approach to explaining how to stand, handle the shotgun safely and how to shoot. We enjoyed it so much that we are going to return for more tutelage and experience! We would recommend this venue 💯 %.

What a well run little shooting ground, not one no bird on the 100 clays that we shot. 5 stands with 4 targets on each stand, 2 novice and 2 harder ones, so We shot all 4 birds be rude not to. 😆 It’s surprisingly how little ground you need to get good birds out there. Would defo go back, May even go back this week.

Excellent activity lot of fun, good guidance during the shoot. Felt like there were a good amount of Clay's to shoot and good variety of skill test for a beginner. Will be returning for sure for some more fun, lots more courses and clay shoot activities one site as well by the looks of it. Covid practice in place felt safe and well looked after. Thanks for the fab day :)

My partner and I were given a clay pigeon shoot experience as a gift last year but die to the pandemic were only able to participate this weekend.
The whole experience was excellent, the team were friendly and welcoming and, although we were a little intimidated by the large group of 'pro's' enjoying their hobby at the shooting range, could not have been made to feel more comfortable.
Our instructor, Graham, was wonderful. His explanation of the activity and what would happen was excellent, he was patient and knowledgable and rally personalised the experience for both us of independently.

Came as the organiser of a stag do having looked online around for clay pigeon shooting near to Leeds, didn’t receive to much info via email so didn’t know what to expect too much, happy to say we were incredibly happy with our experience, we bought a package of 25clays each but probably had about 2 it 3 extra each! 2 guys battling for points in a race for second place we’re also allowed to shoot 5 more each to see who would win. Hazel Bank is a modest shooting ground but completely unpretentious, there’s a real community feeling about it and then shooting itself was really fun, our instructor

Want sure what too exspect..10/10 lovely family run business..family atmosphere..made to feel soo welcome..staff where very incuraging on the actual shoot..felt so comfortable..I will be going back without a doubt..beautiful drive though Yeadon an harrogate etc..obviously depends witch side your coming from..
