Had a birthday woodland ride for my daughters birthday today and it’s been absolutely fantastic. All the staff were so lovely and friendly and talked the girls through how to care for the horses before going off for a lovely woodland ride. Lauren talked to the children throughout the ride teaching them the basics and to finish they all sang happy birthday. I can’t recommend enough. Thank you for making Eleanor’s birthday perfect. We will certainly be back again x

Fabulous experience for my two children today riding in the woods on Topper and Tetley.
Staff were very friendly and attentive. I had a very nervous ten year old, so a special mention to Liz who was so patient and reassuring with her that she soon had a smile on her face and now wants to come back next week!
We will definitely be returning ☺️

Nice place but can have improvements: My daughter use to go here staff are kind and everything but the owner not so much. The rule is that you can get off your horse if you have a staff next to you and she was next to my daughter and she got off and was heading for the car but then the owner shouted at her for not following the rule. Did not come back.

Had the best afternoon walking with my little boy as he went out on the woodland hack. Jules the Instructor was lovely and had such a nice fun way of teaching the kids how to stop, steer, sit up down hill, lean forward up hill etc. And all the ponies were just gorgeous. Loved it. We will defo be back. Thanks so much

I recently began having lessons at Grenoside Equestrian Centre and have been really pleased by the standard of teaching. Every instructor has been extremely kind, knowledgeable, and patient during lessons. I have already noticed an improvement in my technique and confidence. All of the horses are really well cared for and happy. I have been riding… Jerry over the past month and he has been a dream. He has such a lovely temperament and is very forgiving! The centre also offers some brilliant hacking in Grenoside Woods. Lucy also took me for a private hack last week, which was great fun.

My children girl age 7 and boy age 12 have been on the Pony Experience today. Both children loved the whole experience. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and patient, they were also confident in their abilities and I felt my children with no experience and one with additional needs and anxiety were safe and well looked after. … Jules and Ava led my children on their walk in the woods and both children left with new knowledge and full of excitement. Other members of staff who were involved with the experience were also brilliant. We can't wait to return!!!!! Thank you

Lovely place with a great vibe, perfect for my nine-year-old daughter’s birthday.
One visit only but really liked it. Lots of horse activities going on and the place felt more to do with the animals than getting money off you. Nice trot through the woods.
It’s not posh, which I liked, feeling more like a stables than a business. The busy road is close and it is noisy but I didn’t notice this in the woods. Owners and staff seemed relaxed.
I would use again and recommend.

My daughter had her 9th birthday party here and all I can say is FANTASTIC.
All staff were polite and friendly with all the children and adults.
The kids loved going for a ride on the ponies and also grooming them.
I cannot recommend this place more highly and will definitely be going back and having a go myself.
Thank you ever so much for a fab time.

Fantastic experience. Took me, the missus and 6 kids, was expecting pony trekking, but we're on full size horses, suited to our height and weight, professional, friendly staff, was very family orientated, supposed to be 30 minutes and got over an hour with all the kit out and trek. We all really enjoyed it and so did the staff. Highly recommended. Thank You, we will be back next time we're here

I purchased a voucher online and took my daughter here for a half hour session which involved riding through the woods. As a beginner, she loved it so much that I have taken her back as she really has caught the bug. Very relaxed atmosphere, nice people and surprisingly won't break the bank. Will be back soon for regular lessons. Thank you all so much at Grenoside.
