Dated in some ways, modern where needed, I loved my 2 day stay here.
Ppl depend on their livelihoods for good reviews so I only review places I would like to visit again.
Set in a delightful location across the road from a climbing parkland and in the quiet centre of a polite town who cares if the staff don't seek eye contact? They do their job well.

Other than location, there is nothing to warm to about this hotel. I stayed here in August 2021. It was £90 for the night which included breakfast. This hotel is very very dated, it has the warmth of an icicle. The one member of staff I saw yesterday was pleasant enough. The lady today was unwelcoming to say the least
I have to say, the room is large, that is a positive. The key I was given was only just shorter than the bed (photo to explain). I am 5’8’’ / 172cm. My feet were hanging off the bed. The mattress was so spongy it was comical.
I did fall asleep however but was woken at 1:30am

2 star hotel with a feeling of a probation hostel. Decor badly in need of updating. The nostalgic aromas of tobacco and weed wafted throughout the once elegant stairways. Stained Carpets and doors that had previously been punched now bore the scars due to poor repairs. Bedding was clean and breakfast was pretty decent. Won't be back, sadly.

Recently stayed there and was very impressed. Well above a two star hotel. Excellent value in very good position in the centre of Tunbridge Wells. Good clean and well maintained. The staff are very nice and helpful and there is an obvious pride in running a nice and good and honest hotel. I’d very happily stay there again.
P.S. the cooked breakfast is also very good.

For a budget hotel, I loved being here, I spent 5 days in the Annex room, which includes a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and sink.... Perfect to rustle up a bit of food when you're sick of eating out.
Yes the decor is stuck in the 80's, but I found it quite nostalgic and comforting in a way, it was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were so helpful and friendly, I would definitely stay here again! 💕
