Camelot Nursing & Residential Care Home
We are registered for up to 36 people in 36 rooms of which 2 are double, 10 of which are en-suite. My name is Sue Munro and I have been the owner of Camelot for 35 years. As it is the only care home I own, I have been able to ensure that we maintain the same family values that have been in place throughout those years.

Our home evokes a warm, homely feel provided by loyal, caring management and staff, and we have been honoured to care for many happy long term residents. The family feel is extended to our dining, with my daughter Michelle providing excellent and varied meals as chef.
Services
Homely and inclusive atmosphere where residents and their loved ones can be involved in their care. We are able to care for older residents whose overriding nursing and care needs can be safely met within the Home's environment.

We are able to care for those residents with severely impaired mobility who require assistance with personal care and nutrition, who have continence care needs, who require assistance with medication and who have an assessed need for care from qualified nursing staff.
The rooms are situated on the ground, first and second floors, fed by a lift and stair lifts. There is a beautifully appointed dining room, a well equipped activity room, a stunning TV lounge and a conservatory. Camelot Nursing and Residential Home consists two large detached houses that have been linked and more recently extended.
We also serve mid morning and mid afternoon drinks with biscuits, home-made cakes and pastries. We are proud to offer a wide variety of meals that are cooked in our own kitchen using fresh produce, mostly from local suppliers. Meals can be taken in our dining room or in a residents own room if required.
Entertainment includes music, old movies with popcorn and ice cream, and trips to the theatre. Birthday and Special Ocassion Buffets We enjoy putting on buffets for resident's birthdays and other special occasions. Friends and families are always welcome and we will endeavour to meet any special arrangements.
Worthing is known for its mild climate as it is protected to the north by the south downs. This is why for many generations it has been a popular retirement area - with nearly one in four of the population of Worthing aged over 65. Camelot is located just on the edge of the town centre and is therefore very close to the highlights of the coastal town.

My aunt was discharged to this care home from hospital. I waited 6 weeks after her death there from covid to write this review. The home didn't warn us that the outbreak had started to give us a chance to remove her. They didn't tell us that she was badly ill. Its unforgivable that they didn't call an ambulance when her condition worsened They did phone us about 5 times on the day of her death, the first time just 2 hours after she'd died, to pressure us into arranging an undertaker. The home's management seemed disorganised. No track and trace for visitors, no checking they had medical grade facemasks

My mother has been in this home for a while now and is very happy here. The staff are amazing! So helpful & accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. They go out of their way to make the residents feel comfortable and at home.
Alison the manager is very approachable and always happy to have a chat if you have any questions.

Extract from letter to The Manager, Camelot Nursing Home, 30 July 2016
I am writing to thank you and your entire team for the exemplary standard of care my mother received whilst with you. Even though she was only resident for a very short time, your support and compassion for her and our family was of the highest order. My wife and I are only sorry we didn’t have longer to enjoy “the Camelot family”.
Every one of your staff, we encountered, from the most senior to the very junior, were always friendly and welcoming and nothing was ever too much trouble. The nursing care was of the highest
