Taunton Dean Bowling Club
The Club welcomes new bowlers of all ages and abilities from novices to experienced players. Read about how to join. For all of you interested in representing Club or County, notices are now up on all the relevant boards by the locker area. Somerset Women's County Indoor Bowling Association (SWCIBA) invite all interested Club ladies to put their names up on the availability sheets.

The deadline for. Today the Summer Indoor Finals were held and congratulations to: David Horton for winning both the Men's Singles and the Open Clyno. Sadie Lloyd and Rod Ellis won the Open Pairs and Heather Ambrose the Non Winners Open Singles. Thanks to all the organisers, markers, bar staff etc.
Services
The club is open each day from 9.00am seven days a week and reception is manned Monday - Friday from 9am - 1pm. The Club has a membership of over 450 and there is a team of coaches available to help new bowlers or to assist in developing the skills of existing bowlers. Members have a variety of opportunities to play bowls.
The six rink indoor bowling centre is the only one in the area and allows the club to run a comprehensive programme of leagues, both during the day and evening. A full diary of friendly fixtures, County, Club and National competitions ensures there is always something going on at the 'Deane' in which members may participate or watch from a comfortable viewing area.

The Men's selection sheets for SCIBA (Somerset County Indoor Bowls Association ) matches are up on the County Noticeboard.
The draws for the summer indoor competitions are now on BowlR and the Competitions notice board. We did not have enough entries to run the Ladies singles but the other 4 are all running. Look under 2021 in Club competitions on BowlR and scroll to the bottom.

Taunton Deane Bowling Club welcomes everyone with an interest in this fascinating sport and opens its doors to prospective members of all ages, abilities and agilities - from juniors to great-grandparents, from absolute beginners to national level players.

Very good outdoor facilities at the moment, now the indoor season has started the six indoor rinks are well used but space is still available.

When I walked in to the club I was very impressed with the superb facilities and the warm welcome. I have now joined the club and would recommend it to anyone. Take a look, you'll be hooked.

Very nice place. Clean and well kept by the ground staff. Bar staff friendly and helpful.
