Dear Ann & Colin Thank you for your warm welcome so lovely to see you both again and to be back in Rosedale.
Rosedale valley is 9 miles North West of Pickering. Take the A170 west from Pickering, then turn North at Wrelton, through Cropton and on to Rosedale Abbey. After 1 mile take the ROSEDALE EAST ONLY junction directly ahead, the road with the motorbike in the photograph. Follow this for another mile, and when you reach the CREAM PAINTED HOUSE (the Orange Tree), turn left into the private lane.
You might think that walking is a new pastime just for the privileged few. Actually walking has been around considerably longer, and comes in various forms; walking to work, walking to the shops, walking home etc. When you consider how mundane some of these journeys can be, then a change could be just what you are looking for.

What more can I add to previous reviews? We have just spent two nights for our first time in ‘Ann’s Cottage’ and I hope it won’t be our last. The cottage is in a super location with a large garden. It is spotless clean, fully sanitised for these ‘different’ times, beautifully finished, has everything you need should you wish to ‘dine in’ on an evening and the ‘Full Yorkshire’ breakfast was truly first class. Add to this the the genuine warmth of Ann and Colin and you couldn’t ask for anything better.
A tip - book early, the two cottages are very popular!

Ann and Colin always excel in every aspect to make your stay so warm and friendly. The cottages are absolutely immaculate in a superb setting with every facility you could possibly need. First class amenities in your cottage and an excellent menu choice for breakfast. Ann and Colin put everything into making sure you enter as a guest but leave as a friend with their degree of hospitality. Nothing you could ask for would be too much as they are both so helpful.

Lovely welcome from Ann and Colin. Cottage scrupulously clean. In fact the lady in the other cottage, she's an assessor for Yorkshire tourism, and it had been recommended by another assessor. Lovely kitchen, with everything you need. Super breakfast menu, they have thought of everything. Highly recommended.

This is our 2nd visit! as we loved it so much the first time we brought my mum and dad. Attention to detail is second to none and Ann and Colin cannot do enough to make you comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and all the little touches that are added in makes for a fabulous stay. Location is fabulous and within reach of several gorgeous seaside towns and quaint little villages. Thanks for a lovely stay !

Just read the Visitors Books, it says it all, time after time! From a Chartered designer/builder these buildings are faultless which takes a lot for me to say as I am a perfectionist. The craftsmanship, design and attention to detail is first class as are the furnishings and fittings. A lot of Ann and Colin has gone into these conversions, they are great hosts and very good friends, a better welcome you would never get anywhere. I have to mention Ann's breakfasts, having traveled the world I have always regarded the Marriott in New York to serve the best cooked breakfast, that is before I tasted
