Chilton has over 200 aquariums stocked with quality Tropical, Marine and Coldwater fish. We have a large selection of African Cichlids and Discus. Here you will find many rare and unusual fish and tropical aquatic plants as well as all the usual and more common species. If you are looking for any particular species of fish we have an extensive range of fish that we usually can obtain for you very quickly.
Massive range of top quality Rift Valley Cichlids. We specialise in these fish and Paul has been keeping and breeding African Cichlids for over 40 years. He is considered as one of the leading authorities on these fish in the UK. We have many aquariums devoted to African Cichlids and these contain many rare and unusual species.
Our discus are personally selected and imported from our exclusive discus farm which is the biggest in Europe producing thousands of quality discus per month. Because we source our fish from one place and only stock fish from this farm this reduces the risk of any disease being introduced and ensures we only supply top quality healthy discus.
We stock a full range of Aquariums, Salts, Skimmers and all equipment needed to keep Marine species. We are one of the biggest stockists of Seachem Products in the UK and always have the full range in stock. Our marine aquaria have a great selection of common and unusual marine fish as well as shrimps, crabs, anemones and corals.

My honest opinion is this aquatics shop is really damn good for livestock.
I have high tech tanks so I frequently visit aquascaping shops, while Chilton isn't aimed directly at this market they can still get products in at an extremely good rate as I got my CO2 system here.
The livestock is plentiful, I'm even able to buy oddball fish here that are not available though bigger common chain stores such as the micro rasbora/chili/merah etc.
The prices are the real drawing point as they sell at extremely, EXTREMELY affordable prices. The cheapest in County Durham hands down.

I love this place. The selection of fish is brilliant. Fresh tropical fish big or small. Cold water fish and pond fish. Also marine fish. And if that's not enough there is a wide selection of fish food, artificial or live plants, decor and ornaments, filters, pumps and anything you need to setup an aquarium and even fish tanks if you are just starting up. Horrible horrible shop!! A lot of bettas are sick. The fish room is horrendously hot, i felt like passing out!
I saved a betta ( in the photo ) because he looked dreadfully sick, I had to travel 45minutes to this place twice as the first time i went home and felt bad about leaving that betta where it was! After the owner resisting wanting to sell the fish to anyone due to its health he finally let me buy it with a whopping £1 discount even though he was waiting for it to die anyway, logically you'd give it for free or extremely cheap, i don't care I wanted
