Horizon Aquatics

Had my first visit today and can't recommend this place enough. Shop itself is outstanding. All the owners/staff were great, and me and my mate were made to feel really welcome. Spent a couple of hours just chatting, getting tips and info. Will definately be back for another purchase soon. Thanks again James, Nicole and Mark (Aka - Geordie scaper)

Very helpful and polite staff couldn't fault the place I've had some lovely stuff for my tank and amazing fish at a reasonable price would recommend to anyone fantastic business

I purchased my Solar RGB lights from Horizon and I must say I am so impressed with how fast the lights came, and how friendly and helpful the service was that the guys provide. Had a few issues with setting up… but James was incredible. Responding out of working hours and really genuinely cares. Horizon have sorted me out and gone above and beyond. Could not recommend them MORE. Wish I lived closer.

Absolutely fantastic this should be the standard for all aquatic stores.
The thing that really stood out to me was the Bettas not being in a tiny cube tanks but given an appropriate size tank its so refreshing to see happy healthy fish being sold
the gallery is, well.... 😍😍😍😍😍
for me is its an hour and a bit drive away but well worth it
can I have a job ? 😂

I’ve been to plenty of pet shops, and I’ve got to admit this is has been the MOST pleasant experiences whilst purchasing aquatic livestock ever! And cheaper than mainstream pet retailers.
I walked around for a while and picked out my little selection that I wanted and a lovely woman who I think was the owner helped every step of the way and was… very informative about every question and really made it feel like a really relaxed environment instead of a rushed money grab shop like pets at home! Healthy tank, healthy shrimps and very caring with them! Let alone the beautiful tanks

This place is taking the freshwater aquatic hobby into the future.
As soon as you enter the building you are aware of the calm and peacefulness there. The aquariums are out of this world. The livestock (fauna and flora) is so healthy and vibrant. The dry goods section, although some is expensive, (it is top notch gear after all) a lot is very fairly priced. The staff.....! Well, their knowledge is second to non.
I thoroughly recommend a visit. It won't be your last, that's for sure!

Perfect place to buy your aquascaping products with really helpful owners. I started my journey off here and can't thank them enough for the 1-1 no rush service. Even if you just want to get some new fish they have a great selection and from experience I haven't lost any that I've purchased from them. You'll catch the aquascaping bug in no time! Definitely worth a visit even just for a look around

The first of what I’m sure will be many visits! The whole experience from walking through the door was amazing. The store is really well laid out and stocked with everything you might need and some really high end equipment. Plenty of display tanks to enjoy and nice to see livestock in a scaping shop. James snd Nicole were really chatty and very helpful. Thanks guys and I can’t wait to return!

Unreal this place. Best in the North East. This is Art not pet supplies, it's honestly like an Art exhibition.
It's packed full of inspiration, hardscape and QUALITY shrimp and livestock. The tanks are phenomenal.
If you want your aquarium to be a centerpiece of beauty then this is where you go.

Greeted with refreshments on arrival, given a personal walk around the store by the owners! This place is FANTASTIC! If you haven't been get this place on your visit list 5* from me and good luck to the pair of you! You're doing an amazing job 👌

Popped into Horizon for the first time yesterday after hearing really good things and this place did not disappoint. shop design and layout was great and customer service was fantastic. learnt some new things and came out with some stunning Serpae tetras and bamboo shrimp to add to our tank. well done Horizon team 👏 👐😁

Came across Horizon aquatics on google with it being near myself i called in. Very nice setups fish doing fantastic in community tanks with a great range of aquatic plants. Segregated rooms stocking shrimps, bettas, plants and other community fish. I found the service to be superb and knowledgable

Went to visit today to get my first ever Aquarium. Staff were very helpful from starts to finish. I got exactly what I needed and know that if I'm stuck they are at the end of the phone for anymore guidance.
10/10 Definitely worth the 40 minute drive.

Amazing shop, really friendly staff and very clued up with their knowledge, also offered us a lovely ice cold drink while we were there
