Red Hatch Classic Campers Ltd successfully operated a self drive hire fleet of classic vw camper vans for 6 years with well over 300 ' happy campers ' driving to numerous local landmark destinations. Gerald has an extensive knowledge of cars with a 25 year+ career within the motor industry prior to setting up Red Hatch Classic Campers Ltd, which had been a resounding success.
When the pandemic hit us I looked at how I could adapt and change the business we have worked so hard to build up and whilst it was not financially viable for us to continue the hire side of the business, the workshop has been busy and vehicle sales are consistent. Before going the team some years ago, Max spent some time working on vehicle recovery which included roadside repairs on all types of vehicles.

A range of colourful 28 page storybooks designed for young children to follow their favourite Campervan, teaching the value of friendship and inspiring adventure. Lil loves the town of Thamesmoor and visiting her friend Mrs. Clark who runs the bakery there. Lil wants to help her friend with her cupcake delivery.

100% recommended. Vehicle was presented immaculately, MOT, serviced, full valet - and along with the 12 month warranty, we were offered every assurance during the purchase of our camper van. The icing on the cake was a bottle of bubbly and a slosh of fuel to get us on our way! Gerald was helpful and knowledgeable and generous with his time. We took the beautiful Lil for a mid week trip to the Jurrasic Coast. As complete novices to the world of campervans we were unsure what to expect. On arrival we were given a full briefing on the van's vintage… features and operation, and after a short while, the driving style was second nature. Our rescue dog was thrilled she could join us on our road trip too. The kitchen bag provided by red hatch campers came with every kitchen utensil you could possibly need. Lil and all the vans have been lovingly restored and are in excellent condition. They are as beautiful on the inside as they are

Finally got round to writing this review! We hired the lovely Tullulah in the summer for a family holiday in Devon and loved every minute of it! The welcome and handover instructions we had from Gerald were great and we felt at ease driving the camper away. We had one moment of slight panic when we left part of the awning behind but Gerald, the… true champ, hand delivered it to our campsite very early the next morning... Fantastic service! We would 100% recommend for a family holiday, we are a family of three and our 2 year old daughter loved it and is still talking about Tullulah!!

My wife bought me a weekends hire of LIL for Xmas 2016, we took that weekend over this August bank holiday and had the most amazing time. We both loved it so much I have even looked into how much it would cost to buy one in the same beautiful condition the guys at Red Hatch keep them in...unfortunately it's a little out of reach at the moment so we may be coming back again next year!...I can't recommend Red Hatch highly enough.

Have just spent the most brilliant long weekend in Cornwall with Binky (van), my youngest daughter and our dog. The service provided by Gerald was fantastic and the van was equipped with everything that we could have wanted - especially heating to combat the Cornish cold! It was a true road trip with an old school vibe. Great tunes on the stereo, no sat nav and no need to hurry anywhere. Bliss! We will definitely use them again. A thoroughly excellent service. We hired a camper van from Red Hatch and I've got to say it was the best UK holiday we've ever had.
Despite some typical English weather at the start of the week we had the most enjoyable time with the kids who were so excited to be sleeping in 'Milo' - a pale blue 1969 Early Bay Window.
It has always been my dream to own a classic VW Camper Van… but family, work commitments and money have meant it has never become a reality. Finding Red Hatch Campers has meant we can go away on dream family holidays. I've never had so many people wave at us, smile and take photos as you are driving by.
