Matt Horne Pottery
Matt Horne is a ceramic artist based in West Hythe, Kent (UK), and has been working with crystalline glazes since 2009. All of Matt's crystalline ceramics are hand thrown in porcelain on the potter's wheel. Matt's work combines an enjoyment for creating challenging shapes thrown on the wheel and experimentation with striking crystalline glazes, which produces exciting, contemporary pieces.

Due to the nature of crystalline glaze, every piece is completely unique. A selection of Matt's work is available for sale on the website with worldwide shipping available, and his work can also be found in a number of stockists and outlets, and he regularly exhibits at ceramics shows across the UK.
Services
Matt's career in ceramics began on leaving school, with a 2 year apprenticeship at an established pottery in Aylesford, Kent where he became skilled in various production throwing techniques using stoneware clay. In 2008, Matt set up his own ceramics studio in Capel-Le-Ferne, Kent. Initially, he continued to use stoneware clay for producing domestic pottery before experimenting with more decorative work.

Absolutely wonderful work, - I've experimented with crystalline glazes when I did my BA and I know how many variables there are to get them right, fair to say I didn't succeed. This is Master work!
