The Wiltshire Psychology Service
The Wiltshire Psychology Service has been successfully providing an adult psychology service to Swindon, Bath, wider Wiltshire, south Gloucestershire and south-west Oxfordshire since 2006. In 2011, we expanded to provide a comprehensive child and family service. Our psychologists each hold a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, formerly known as a CRB check.

All of our psychologists are also members of the British Psychological Society Independent and Private Practitioners Network. Jill is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and co-founder of the Wiltshire Psychology Service. Jill's previous NHS practice was in a Community Mental Health Team where she was working within a multi-disciplinary team with adults with a variety of different psychological difficulties.
Services
If we are not available when you call, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. Please note that we are unable to see new clients on a walk-in basis. Please make all enquiries by telephone or email, as our clinicians are very unlikely to be available if you come to Brinkworth without an appointment.
Our main clinical psychology offices are located at Brinkworth House, in the village of Brinkworth, a few miles west of Swindon. We are situated on the B4042 between Junction 16 (Wootton Bassett) of the M4 and Malmesbury. Brinkworth House is opposite the Golf Club on the Malmesbury side of the village.
Initial assessment will always involve a face-to-face discussion. If it is felt that questionnaires will add further useful information, the psychologist may also ask you to complete some of these. The initial assessment will focus on the type of difficulties you are experiencing and the psychologist will ask questions about these difficulties in order to build up an understanding or formulation of your problems.
After your assessment is completed, the psychologist will use this information to design a plan of treatment. As you will be likely to spend a lot of time, money and energy on therapy, it is important to us that you get the best package of care that we can offer you.

In certain cases, we may recommend that a client seeks help through the NHS, as it may be that a more comprehensive package of care is required than we are able to provide independently.Depending on the type of difficulty that you have, and the formulation developed after your assessment, the psychologist will advise you which type of therapy will be most appropriate for you.
Wiltshire Psychology Service does not currently have any psychiatrists working within our practice. The following text provides some background information on psychiatry, and how it differs from psychology. Psychiatry is a branch of medical science that deals with understanding, diagnosing and treating mental health difficulties.

Had excellent service from everyone at WPS as well as all the other staff at Brinkworth House.
Very understanding and non patronising psychology from the psychologist and work with you to help you set and work out how to achieve your goals.
Highly recommended, even if a bit pricey. Well worth it though for the help being received.

Wife had enquired if she could go here privately. Got an email back to say they would not help, even though they specialise in the areas of care that she needs. Told to go the NHS route. But trying NHS route is the reason we were trying to go private in the first place. Appalling.
