The VSHC was founded with the sole intention of offering an alternative to the norm for gents looking for formal wear for a wedding or event. Our aesthetic may be vintage, but we are far from traditional. Our hand made wool suits can be purchased off-the-peg so they can be worn time and time again. A fitting and alteration service is available in both our Bedford store and Blackburn Concession.
Services
In most instances we were able to achieve the look and feel we wanted, and the range of wedding services that catered for our tastes were broad, with the exception of one area - Tom's Suit. From day 1, Tom knew he didn't want to get married in a morning suit, as that just wasn't his style, but even after considerable searching, he found the opportunities to hire something a little off-beat either non-existent or horrendously expensive.
If you're looking to get suited for the big day, an event or just fancy a new suit we'd love to hear from you. Next April and May is already filling so please get in touch soon to prevent dissappointment. We can still help with suits for purchase for weddings on those dates, and our online shop has our suits for immediate purchase if the sizes are in stock - please contact us to stock check.
Hiring our suits remains a really popular option for those attending one-off events or getting married (especially where larger groups need to be dressed). Suit hire is available exclusively in the UK and wherever possible we recommend you visit either our store in Bedford or concession in Blackburn.
In an ideal world, all of our customers would be able to visit one of our stores to try a suit on before hiring or buying, but we know that isn't always possible. If you wish to identify your sizes without visiting us, please refer to the video above, and either order the sizes you need, or let us know if you wish add them to a hire order.

Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
The suits are lovely and really good quality. The y also sell a number of items to go with your suits. Pocket watches etc.
if you want something that’s a little different from the normal tails etc then you need to visit here.

I used VSHC for my twice-delayed wedding. Not only were the suits great (I bought for myself and hired for my Groomsmen who were very pleased with the amount of compliments they received) but the service was fantastic throughout as well, and they were incredibly accommodating when we had to postpone due to COVID.

We hired the Southwold suit for our recent wedding. We had to search high and low for a suit supplier that supplied what we were looking for. We ended up stumbling across Vintage Suit Hire at the Alternative Wedding Show. We had to travel from Essex to get fitted for the suits and it was worth the journey as the suits fitted perfectly and were delivered and picked up as expected.

Very helpful and friendly service and the suits were top notch, making my groomsmen look first rate! Whole heartedly recommended. The groomsmen loved the engraved pocket watches and other accessories I gifted them from the company also - as do I! A great one-stop shop. Blessed by glorious July sun, we also didn't melt - which had been a small concern.

Excellent service; I got measured quickly at Legend Bridal in Great Harwood in June 2020, but the pandemic meant I didn't actually need my suit until this April.
Not a problem.
Jess kept in touch, answered my few queries and the suits were delivered and collected just when I wanted. The suits themselves? Gorgeous. The fit is excellent, I chose the Southwold with a Harrogate waistcoat for contrast and it looks fantastic. I like my suit so much I bought it.
