Acorn Plastech (UK) Ltd is a privately owned company and has been providing quality tooling and plastic injection moulded components to many sectors of industry since 1984. The business has steadily grown and gained an excellent reputation for customer service, quality and technical competence. The directors at Acorn Plastech originated from the shop floor and have a hands on attitude often found producing tools and running machines.
Yes, we produce and maintain all our mould tools on site within our fully equipped toolroom. We have a duty of care for the tooling and keep all tools in an alarmed and secure environment. Customers are advised however to insure their own tools. If you don't have any CAD data, we would require a sample of the part or a drawing in some form, outlining the dimensions and key features.
Acorn Plastech's tooling facility is fully equipped with the latest modern equipment, allowing us to produce customer's tooling both cost effectively and with minimum lead times. We believe our customers prefer to have their tooling designed, manufactured and moulded under one roof, as this ensures a continuity in quality and provides a quick turnaround for any tooling modifications or maintenance.
Our mouldshop has the latest semi-automatic moulding machines for small to medium sized production runs, along with a fully automated facility to accommodate customers with high volume requirements. This gives us the ability to produce virtually any quantity from one to one million plus. We only use materials from official distributors which helps us provide consistent product and material traceability.
For over 20 years we have specialised in insert and encapsulation moulding work, this can be anything from electro magnetic coil assemblies to needle encapsulation. From medical products to audible components, we have the capability and knowledge to fulfil your requirements. We utilise BOY 22D VH moulding machines for this process.
