Cycle Heaven

I have used Cycle Heaven for a few years now, having bought my beloved Ridgeback Meteor from Bishy Road shop as it was then. They have looked after me service wise ever since. The team are always helpful whichever store you use. Recommended.

Wonderful, friendly bike shop in York with a huge range of quality bikes and accessories. The cafe is also a really nice place to eat. The food is excellent and very good value.

I would normally but on this occasion I was left very disappointed. Knowing that the shop at the station is closed Sunday and Monday I went today to purchase some chamois cream which I could easily have bought on line. When I arrived there the shop was closed due to stock taking (which they could have done Monday). They suggested I went to the… Bishoprhorpe road shop which I did but they did not have it and advised me to try the one at the station. So I think in future I will shop on line and not try to support my local supplier. Feeling very let down.

This was my first visit today and I'm thoroughly impressed by the service and staff. I've been looking for a new saddle for quite some time now and I've really struggled to know which one is for me, until today. They were able to take my measurements and suggest the ideal saddle for me. They also said that if it isn't comfortable I could pop back and they could look over my position on the bike and suggest any changes that would help and they'll also accept an exchange within 30 days. I've not been able to fully try out the new saddle yet but from my limited riding so far it seems pretty good!

Quality bikes and accessories, clothing etc. The cafe was absolutely brilliant, great menu and lovely staff. They even lend you a bike lock if you need one, just pop into workshop.

Fantastic breakfast, lovely period building, prime location exceptionally friendly staff and brilliant service. Can’t recommend highly enough. Oh and some incredible bikes too.

Yesterday (Saturday 26th June) I collected my elderly (25 yrs old) Brompton folding bike from Alistair at Cycle Heaven's workshop. I am really pleased with all the work that you've done for me.
The rear hub (complete with Sturmey Archer gears) has been rebuilt, including a new axle. New handlebars, bottom bracket, cables and chain were all required as it had become a complete wreak! To be honest I was dreading just how much all this would cost - but was very pleasantly surprised!

I had the good fortune to buy a new bike this week from Cycle Heaven. Initially I only called in for information, but after a series of events the planets aligned and the optimum bicycle was available.
I just have to say, what great service from everyone I encountered with special thanks to Alison And Rebecca who were so patient and knowledgeable.
It's my first ever purchase from cycle heaven as I usually only use another LBS, but I'll definitely be back.

Stopped off on a circular ride from Barnsley to York to grab some food - great breakfast with terrific service. Fantastic place! Massive thanks to the lads in the service bay for sorting my gearing out ready for my return ride. Highly recommended.

Cycle Heaven are absolutely superb. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, very knowledgeable, understanding of our ignorance and thoroughly nice. We got a good deal on two fabulous ebikes plus accessories and really enjoyed the whole experience. And the coffee ☕️ is great too Five stars.

This is a great place to relax with your dogs if you are taking a walk by the river southbound! Lovely original menu, something different... staff very friendly, what more could you ask for but a bit of peace and quite, lunch and even a dog treat

Friendly knowledgeable staff, huge range of bikes, no hassel. We travelled all the way from Devon to York to choose and try bikes, then back up to collect them, and we are chuffed with then☺️

Absolutely fantastic service. popped by on the off chance someone could pump up my daughters bike tyres and put her seat and handle bars up. Within minutes it was done and we were back on our way. Thank you to the lovely gentleman who did it, for being so speedy and having the patience of a Saint with my daughter when she couldn't decide how much her seat needed to be raised up. Highly recommended.
