Leaving home can be a challenging time and so to ensure the smoothest transition, Bernash Care Home boasts an authentic 'home from home' experience to help you settle. Established since 1982, this traditional detached residential property, feels less like a hospital ward and more like a home. With only a maximum of 23 residents, this select group can comfortably interact and form new bonds.
We offer Dementia Care, Residential Care, Respite Care and Day Care. Our residents are provided with around the clock personal care, assisting as often and as much as they would like. An open and evolving care plan allows for effective and comprehensive care for all residents, as individuals.

Services
At Bernash Care Home, we are happy to be able to support residents with dementia care, residential care, respite care and day care. All our residents have a personalised care plan to ensure that we can not only meet their care requirements but also accommodate their individual's likes and dislikes, religious preferences, and suggestions from family members that might make their stay that little bit more enjoyable.
At Bernash Care Home in Bristol, we are fully trained to provide 24-hour residential care - this includes respite care and specialist care for those living with dementia. Our friendly support staff are encouraged to continually develop their existing knowledge and skills in caring for the elderly and we have extensive experience providing the best quality care in Bristol.
A person living with dementia will need specialist care and support as their condition progresses, and there may come a time when moving into a care home is the best option. At Bernash Care Home in Bristol, we offer a range of specialist care for people living with dementia, including residential dementia care and nursing dementia care depending on an individual's needs.
At Bernash Care Home in Bristol, we understand that being a carer for a family member or loved one 24/7 might become stressful or more challenging over time. Our respite stays can therefore provide temporary relief for elderly carers, enabling them to take a much-needed break from the daily demands of caregiving.
If you or your loved one require additional care or elderly support in Bristol, you might have already considered the option of long-term residential care. It gives you the opportunity to socialise with new people (our residents and staff) as well as engaging in a range of fun activities.
In fact, our day care service is often the ideal choice for older adults who live on their own and spend long periods of time without any human company or interaction. It can also be a great way to encourage a smoother transition into full time residential care. As you step inside our home, there's a warm welcome from our team of amazing carers.

I must declare an interest, my daughter works here so please take that into account when reading my review. Bernash has for many years been rated highly by those who inspect it and those who use. Its a small home that prides itself on given the best possible care it can. During Covid staff there worked tirelessly to protect their residents. I'm very proud that my daughter is part of that team.

Lovely, welcoming care home that I'm more than happy to recommend if you're considering residential care around Bristol. Experienced, warm carers that know the little things are just as important as anything else to put relatives at ease, such as the staff wearing pyjamas at bedtime so dementia residents know it's bedtime. In short, Ryan and his team are just the best.

I was called in as agency worker throughout a difficult time where staff had to isolate and cannot recommend Bernash Care Home enough, the staff are all very polite and respectful towards care to residents, the residents are all happy and well cared for with all needs met.
Management, team leaders and all involved alike are all such lovely people who put themselves out to work 30 plus hours straight if needed which you don't see anywhere else.
Me personally have thoroughly loved my time working here and will always be open to work if required.
Highest respect to everyone involved with Bernash

Bernash is an excellent care home. The staff are all wonderfully supportive of both the residents and their families. Management are always happy to listen, inform and advise whenever necessary. The staff put on wonderful activities throughout the day and hats off to the chef for producing delicious food.
The residents are treated with dignity and respect. The facilities are excellent and there is a lovely warm atmosphere and a welcome for both residents and their families. I would thoroughly recommend Bernash to anyone considering residential care.
