George was educated at St. Peter's School, York, and having obtained a degree in Law from Newcastle Polytechnic (now Northumbria University) and passed the Solicitors' Finals Course at the College of Law at Guildford he trained with Drivers, qualifying as a solicitor in 1982 and becoming a partner a couple of years later.

At Drivers our probate charges are usually calculated solely by reference to the amount of time spent. The amount of time that has to be spent can vary enormously depending on individual circumstances.
