At Keelham we shape our history curriculum to ensure it is fully inclusive to every child. Our aims are to fulfil the requirements of the National Curriculum for History; deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum that encompasses the British Values throughout; ensure the progressive development of historical concepts, knowledge and skills; and for the children to study life in the past and realise how it impacts their present and future.

We aim for a high quality history curriculum, which should ignite in children, a curiosity and fascination about Britain's past and that of the wider world.
Services
Keelham Primary School strives to create an atmosphere where all children and adults feel safe, valued and included. As a school community, we work hard to "be Kind, Persevere and Succeed" daily. We are a small school that provides education for children aged 3 to 11. We have a small year group intake of 15, and we are organised into 4 mixed-aged classes ranging from Nursery to Year 6.
I am proud to say that I have been a governor at Keelham Primary School for about 10 years and Chair of the governing body for the past 2 years. My two older sons have been schooled at Keelham and my youngest son is now at the school. I decided to become a governor because I am interested in the welfare and learning of all children and wanted to make a direct contribution in education.
The pupil premium is an allocation of funding provided to schools to support children who may be vulnerable to underachievement. In addition, school accesses Pupil Premium Plus: funds received for pupils adopted from care. We organise teaching and learning at Keelham in order to meet the needs of all children in the best way.
Sport Premium is an amount of money which the government has currently agreed to allocate to schools. The funding amount received by schools is based upon the number of children of primary age at the school. The Sport Premium must be used to increase the quality & breadth of PE & Sport provision, and increase participation in PE & Sport.
Keelham Primary School prides itself on getting to know each child as an individual and adapting our teaching to support each child's learning. The school believes that all children have an equal right to a full and rounded education which will enable them to achieve their full potential.

We use our best endeavours to secure special educational provision for pupils for whom this is required, that is 'additional to and different from' that provided within the differentiated curriculum to better respond to the four areas of need identified in the Code of Practice ( 2014).
