Absolutely wonderful cottage and grounds with loads to entertain our preschool-aged daughter, despite November weather. Super grateful to Pippa and James for allowing us to rebook our visit after COVID struck us down the day before we were due to arrive!

Glynn Barton was a gem of a find when we were looking for a holiday with a 13 month old baby boy. We’d been to Cornwall many times before but never heard of the place, and after reading other reviews we felt confident we would have a good time. In fact, we had a brilliant time DESPITE both my son and other half being unwell almost the entire week. There is so much to do for little ones, it’s hard for them to ever get bored. The soft play looks and feels nearly new, and play room is clean and well stocked. The animal feeding is a wonderful experience for little ones, and the camp fire was a

We’ve just come back from a 5 day stay with our 14 month old and 2.5 year old and the place is simply magical. There is so much for the kids to do and we could have spent a lot longer there! Pippa and James… were so helpful - Pippa couldn’t do enough to help with the sleeping set up and other questions we had. Our son loved feeding the animals and expiring the maze - he’s still talking about “Moscar Cat”! Our daughter also had her very first swim there in the heated pool! We cannot wait to come back one day to spend more time in this amazing place 💜

Absolutely loved our time at Glynn Barton. We stayed in the Granary which was a beautiful cottage. Two bathrooms, lovely kitchen and very comfortable beds. My 2.5year old was very sad to leave the holiday house and her friend, the resident ginger cat. The facilities on site are fabulous. So much to do inside and out. My daughter loved soft play,… finding her way through the maze and playing with the toys in the play room. So much to keep the kids entertained you can definitely have a day 'in'. The on site shop came in very handy, not only because they stocked the pods for the coffee machines

The most amazing place we have stayed as a family in the UK. If we holiday in the UK again this will be the only place we will return to. A shame we didn’t get a chance to spend more time in Glynn Barton due to… day visits out. Pippa and James really fab hosts. The safari tent (Willow) was beyond our expectations, the animal feeding, the marshmallows on the campfire, the forte, soft ply, hot tub, kids cars and the little shop all great to do and see. Everything we needed was available to us. The grounds well kept, such a treat to have animals that my daughter could feed. Was lovely

What an amazing place. Lovely, well maintained cottages with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Child orientated with a wide variety of sports and activities including animal feeding, den building, a giant fort, indoor heated pool and hot tub. We had high expectations and they were all exceeded.

We absolutely loved staying at Glynn Barton and the glamping tents were just glorious! We wanted something a little different with our return visit after a few years away and it was everything we hoped for. It felt unusual and exciting staying in a tent but offered every luxury a parent hopes for! Our children adored the bunk beds and the hot tub especially. All the activities on offer are just better than before and so well thought out. The pizza oven was a hit, the zip line used multiple times every day and feeding the animals was really memorable and such fun. I just wish we'd done it three

We'd rate the holiday at Glynn Barton Cottages a 5. Our 3.5 YO daughter would say a gazillion She absolutely LOVED it! It is a kids paradise... done with style. And such a lovely location.
Everything was perfect with the cottage, so comfortable and clean, and have everything you needed, and more. And the activities available on site are outstanding. Loved the animal feeding and campfire experiences in particular. There is so much to do! For adults as well as children. We didn't get through it all. Need to stay for longer next time.
Pippa and James are brilliant with the kids (and adults!) You

We are a family of four, with a seven and a four year old. We opted for one of glamping tents It has plenty of space and is well equipped. It's a nice spot if you're seeking something where you can retreat to at the end of the day but is not so out of the way that you feel distant.
The site itself is great, with loads of stuff to do for the kids in a safe environment (including an amazing play fort, a maze, a mini play park etc). There is planting of opportunity for the kids to make friends and just go and play with other during their stay while we could relax outside the tent.

A wonderful toddler-friendly holiday. Lots of things to do on-site and fairly low numbers of guests which meant nothing felt too crowded. The swimming pool / hot tub was a particular highlight. Felt more communal and looked after than in a purely self catered place, but also had the privacy of our own cottage.

We're back from our third stay at Glynn Barton and this was the best one yet. Pippa and James have worked so hard in their forced downtime during the various lockdowns to add even more little bits that increase the fun at Glynn Barton tenfold! We last visited in 2019 and there are SO many new bits since then. It was a joy to explore them with our boys this year. As always, we loved the animal feeding and the big fort is a firm favourite. The new zip wire was great fun and I was particularly excited because it's strong enough for adults to have a ride on too! Due to the COVID restrictions we had

We would highly recommend Glynn Barton Cottages as a place to stay. We have now stayed in the cottages twice and tried the glamping, and have loved every second. Our 4yr old loves to feed the animals and all the outside play areas. It is also an ideal location for visiting lots of different places round Cornwall.

We went glamping at Glynn Barton for four nights and had the most wonderful time. The safari tent was superb and exuded luxury, in fact the bathroom was bigger and better than mine at home. We made full use of all the amenities, our own hot tub, log burner, camp fire as well as everything on site. We swam, fed animals, my children loved making new friends and played for hours with Freddie and Max in the soft play and the play room. The location felt so safe and contained that we allowed our 6 & 8 year old to roam freely for a lot of the time, something they never get to experience at home in London

I would rate our stay at Glynn Barton cottages an 11 out of 10, the set up & facilities for the little ones (my boys were 2 and 4yrs) is just fantastic. Animal feeding was a particular highlight, for me as much as the boys!!! Have raved about it to all my friends already, will definitely re-book. Thanks Pippa for a wonderful stay.

The perfect base for exploring Cornwall, or just staying put and making the most of the facilities. Fully child friendly and kept our 3 year old thoroughly amused (so much so that he had a meltdown over coming home!). Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Glynn Barton!

Absolutely fantastic week at Glynn Barton. Would not hesitate to recommend to anybody with young children. Our 4 year old couldn’t decide what to do next. The grounds and facilities are amazing - all well maintained and spotless. James and Pippa are lovely and the guide book they have created was our bible for the week - make sure you read it! Location is great for reaching both North and South Cornwall. Thanks for a great holiday - Can’t wait to return.
