I have been going to Glen Jakes for over a month now for weekly private lessons. All the horses are gorgeous and the riding instructors are very knowledgeable, attentive, supportive and make you feel at ease. I would highly recommend this riding school!

My daughter had been attending hourse riding classes with Glen Jakes Ridong school for about 5 month now, and she and I love every single visit! The staff are very knowledgeable and professional, everything is in orderly fashion, classes never start late and are engaging and interesting even for young children. My daughter is 4 years old and just started Begginer lessons, they are 30 minutes long and very good.

I'm still new to riding at 38, and have had really bad experiences at other riding schools. When I said that I wanted to go to Glen Jakes, I was put off by a number of people who told me that the school only catered for children and I would be stuck on a pony who would be used to kids messing around and not learn anything worthwhile.
Fortunately I chose to ignore them and so happy that I did; so far the smallest horse I've been on was a 15hh cob mare who was very forward going yet quite well mannered.
I found the 1st lesson at Glen Jakes quite emotional as I realised how much time and money I

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
I have a young son who has autism. He rides at Glen Jakes fortnightly and all the staff are great with him! He can't communicate verbally with the instructor but she still chats away with him through out his lesson and they dance and touch parts of the horses body and tack which really engages my son.
He loves horses and I'm so glad I've found Glen Jakes just to see his beaming smile whilst he's riding.

A good riding school, particularly for children. a good range of horses used in the lessons. They offer childrens parties which include a ride on a horse and party games. They offer lessons for all ages and abilities and have regular jumping competions. They also offer hacks out around the local area and to middlewood way. It now has a coffee shop where you can view the lessons from, which is handy if it rains. There are two outdoor schools which are used, which arent that big but big enough. They also do childrens stable management day courses.
