Barley Mows Farm Shop & Restaurant
With a successful six years under our belts we added the restaurant and our kitchen grew enabling us to make even more products on site. You can't get fresher than that! Did you know that Barleymows is completely self sufficient in electricity with the development of an anaerobic digester that was built in 2012?

This means the preparation of our food is powered by moo poo! Barleymow's has a local food policy. If we don't produce the items ourselves we endeavour to source products from within a 25 mile radius. When this is not possible we select products that are as local as possible to keep food miles to minimum and ensure the very best freshness and quality that we all expect.
Services
Barleymow's cafe / restaurant serves delicious home cooked, traditional food made from our own reared meats and local produce. A destination in its own right whether you visit the shop or not!. If you are in the Chard area, call in, as well as delicious food, we have a large free car park, lots of space and wonderful views.
Barleymows Farm Shop now has its own in-house florist with a large selection of colourful fresh flowers for beautiful bouqets, bunches, floral decorations and other flower arrangements for gifts or occasions. Whatever you are after, and whatever your budget, pop in and see us - we're easy to get to - just half a mile West of Chard, Somerset on the A30 and it's always easy to park in our large free car park.
Barleymows Farm Shop and Restaurant is easy to find, fully accessible and has lots of free, level parking. We are directly off the A30 1/2 a mile west of Chard (on the Honiton side of Chard rather than the Crewkerne side). You turn off the A30 straight into our car park. We also have an overflow car park.

My first visit. If I lived closer I would go shopping there every week. Lovely fresh fruit and veg. Actually lovely fresh everything. Looking forward to Beef Wellington for supper with runner beans, cauliflower and carrots. Impressed.

Went in for a quick take away coffee during a very quiet moment. However, once on the road I tasted the coffee and it wasn't even a coffee! JUST MILK WITH A TASTE OF COFFEE AND THE COLOUR WAS WHITE. ARE THEY HAVING A LAUGH??? They need to train their staff better or better still hire a barrister.

Much improved over the last year with a new layout and the addition of a flower shop. The deli counter has an improved range with many local cheeses as well as a good choice of local pies, meats and many other deli staples. The butchery section is as good as ever with choice cuts of local meat. Excellent cafe on site. This farm shop had most things that you could want. Local beers and cider are some of my favourites. Very good access from the A30 and ample parking make this a highly recommended stop off.

Basic rough camping Field on a fairly steep slope down and across, some electric pitches. Good views over valley. Shop nice but expensive. Home grown meat, no burgers for BBQ
