Barkers Pet Supplies has been established on Garstang High Street since 1987, providing pet foods, beds and treats to our valued customers. Our team have exceptional experience and knowledge offering guidance and advice choosing the correct products for all your pet's needs. Here at Barkers Pet Supplies in Garstang, Preston we stock numerous great quality hypoallergenic foods which can often reduce the risk of common problems in dogs, such as itchy skin, poor coat, upset tummies, hyperactivity, weight problems and so on. Most of the great hypoallergenic, meat-based foods we recommend, now offer the same great quality nutrition in 'wet' form - yes, meat with all the added goodness our best friends need.
We stock the comprehensive range of dry and wet cat food which offers supreme nutrition for all cats. For specific problems for instance, we have food which is ideal for cats suffering from hairball problems. Hairballs are formed when hair swallowed by your cat during grooming accumulates in the stomach and can't pass on to the next part of the digestive system.
We stock several leading brands of specialist guinea pig foods, such as Gerty Guinea Pig, Sweet Meadow Mix, Mr Johnson's Advanced and Burgess Excel Guinea Pig, to name a few. All these recognised brands contain Vitamin C, which is an essential part of the guinea pig's diet. Remember, though, that your guinea pig will enjoy munching on vegetables and fruit rich in Vitamin C, along with good quality, clean, fresh hay and the occasional treat.

Excellent service, the couple who run this shop are very friendly, approachable and have excellent people and pet skills. I can't fault this place, they understood that & from the moment I visited I was on a budget and did not try to push the expensive range or judge me for it. I will be going back because they are very good.

I've not been in Barkers Pet Supplies since Florence sold the business. The new owners are very welcoming and friendly. They were able to offer great advice and I was able to make a purchase albeit a very small one. There's no need to go out of town when Barker's Pet Supplies is here on our doorstep, shop local and support local businesses!
