Dyslexia is a condition that almost all people have heard of and affects around 5-10% of the population of the UK. This figure may be a low estimate as some people do not talk about their problems or seek appropriate help, and in some cases may not even realise they are having issues.

We have a large range of eye wear products which we are able to offer from our practice based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. We stock all the big names in the industry such as Valentino, Versace, Emporio Armani and Prada. Whatever you are looking for we have the frames and lenses you need. At the specsplace we stock a wide range of frames to cater to all fashions and budgets.
At the specsplace we use all types of contact lenses including daily disposable, monthly disposable, longer replacement soft lenses (where appropriate) and rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses. Come in to see us to discuss your contact lens requirements as our staff are not only helpful but very knowledgeable and can give you expert guidance.

John and his team recently looked after a close relation of mine for an urgent appointment, they have been clients of The Specs Place for many years. This urgent appointment and detailed examination turned into a 2nd urgent appointment the following day, a referral to the hospital all because of John's attention to detail and professionalism, knowing something is wrong. I pass our thanks for their diligence at The Specs Place, identifying the problem and referring the issues in a timely manner so that it can be formally diagnosed and treated accordingly, hopefully saving the sight in that eye.

Amazing, customer service was above and beyond. I went in because of cove by my self and not looking forward to picking the glasses by my self, the amazing lady at reception helped me to the very end to pick out glasses and gave her honest opinion which for me was amazing just what I needed. the optician made me feel comfortable and at ease the hole time. nice to have a conversation instead of just sitting there for what seems like eternity. can not thank them enough.

John and his team are simply fantastic.
My daughter was suffering with sore and watery eyes recently (during Lockdown 2) and within a couple of hours we were seen by John @ The Specs Place.
He conducted a thorough full review of her eyes, talking her through the whole process. The result was almost perfect eye sight, but she'd had a slight allergic reaction to something that was causing the problems. After a few minutes chatting with John we established a change in soap at school was the root cause - quickly resolved.
Thanks John, excellent service and highly recommended!

I would highly recommend this place. If you want excellent friendly helpful service ,then this is the place to go.
I saw Jeanette again today who was wonderful, so knowledgeable ,nothing is too much trouble for her.

I have been using my local optician for the last 20 years and really had no particular reason to change, but having met John I got to know him, like him, and trust him; being consistently impressed by his intelligent approach, his attention to detail, and his calm professional manner. I decided to give him a try and I am glad I did. The eye test was thorough and his prescription for me was completely appropriate for my needs.
