Guildhall Shopping Centre
Guildhall Shopping Centre was acquired by Mercia Real Estate earlier this month. The new owners are planning to revitalise the centre for visitors immediately and plan to work with all stakeholders to discuss the future of the centre, in order that it will be improved to meet Stafford's requirements.

Whilst it's sad to see businesses, friends and colleagues leave the Guildhall Shopping Centre, we would like to reassure our visitors that our stores are trading as normal at this time. It's such a shame that the new owners have driven the majority of the shops and shoppers away. Closing the multistorey car park feels like the final nail in the coffin, especially for those who had passes for there and used the car park for work.

Sadly the place is rapidly losing all its shops, won't be a shopping precinct for much longer, Stafford planners should be ashamed of themselves xx

Sorry for the low rating but it is hard to comment on a shopping Center when 80 percent of the Center has no shops due to closure which is very sad to see the shops that are there are trying hard to carry on and if I was rating each shop individually I would give them 5 stars as the staff were friendly and helpful I do not include the market hall attached to the shopping Center as they also warrant a much higher rating

Absolutely nothing there anymore. Only 4 or 5 shops left in total of which I use 2. New owners have ruined it by getting rid of all the decent shops (Clark's, The Works, Claires etc)
Keep hearing rumours they want it for restaurants and apartments neither of which we need more of in the town centre - we need shops again!!

Very sad shopping centre, most of the shops are closed and boarded up. Might have been nice in the past but not any more. Have to pay for parking on arrival, should have paid for the minimum one hour.

Its only 2 star as most of the shops inside are closed, it feels very lonely like your inside after closing time, Lets hope more new shops open and its busy once again, it was clean and relatively modern. I feel sad we have lost so many shops.

Absolutely as a holiday maker most shops shut ,market diabolical the local council should be ashamed I visited Stafford some years ago and the determination of such a beautiful town is beyond beleif. HOWEVER THE Swan Hotel still lives up to its good name.

Not even worth walking through, never mind trying shop there. Abysmal security when my girlfriends shop was in there the centre didn’t even know they had been broken into till security were on site the following morning, comes to something when the centre managers didn’t even know how the monitoring worked. But sensors have to work but don’t along with a connection to the external camera system I doubt it’s changed.

Popped into the shopping centre today. It’s really starting to look like an inviting place with lots of new shops, an art gallery shop, a toy shop, new shoe shop, and the Works. It’s having a big refurbishment too. It’s fantastic to see the place coming back to life.

Can't really call it a shopping center tbh, even the cheap shops have gone. There's promise to improve it though, but it seems to be taking forever.
Centre is now worse than ever, destroyed by the new owners , 10/10 don't recommend.

Not worth going to town it's nearly closed down, there's very few new shops apart from upper market coffee shops and restaurants that is where all the old shops have moved to plus the biggest car park is there as well, I find this ironic that they are all by the council offices,if you are on foot you have to go to the other end end of town to catch a bus, rant over

No shops. No anything in there of interest except for Clarks and the card shop. How sad for the town. I couldn't believe it when I went in there last week. Whoever is responsible for it needs a wake up call before Stafford becomes a ghost town.
