Caffe Grande Abaco, located on the main High Street in Uppermill, resides within a beautiful 4 storey, Grade II listed building proving an attractive back drop to the historic cobbled streets of St Mary's gate. Perfectly nestled in the heart of the community, Caffe Grande Abaco opens it's door at 7am and closes at 11pm offering exquisite coffee all day long.

Experience our menu of mouth-watering, authentic Greek food and enjoy 4 courses of Mediterranean cooking at it's finest. Vegetarian alternatives are available.
Here at Caffe Grande Abaco we have 3 fantastic spaces available exclusively for your own private use any evening from 6.30pm onwards. Our 1st Floor Abaci Bar, 2nd Floor and Lower Ground Floor each cater for 26 seated or 35 standing guests. Our 2nd Floor now has TWO private areas for either 16 or 24 people, which can be hired out separately or as a whole with a total of 40 people.
Let's start at the beginning. Coffee only grows between the tropic of Capricorn and the tropic of Cancer, and the best beans (Arabica) only grow above 3000 feet. Now, although we wouldn't use anything but Arabica beans, it's hard to narrow down your favourite coffee beans to one country, or even one region!
Alan and Reece Beak, are brothers from Manchester who were looking to provide a hot beverage to match the standard of their service & expertise. Adam uses top quality ingredients in his sandwich bar & coffee shop. Looking to keep local & serve a quality coffee he approached us and our well known Ottimo blend.

Nice restaurante but the tables and chairs are very close to each other and small space between them
The chocolate muffins are one of the best I had
The bagels are delicious but not the one with chicken I didn’t like it
The waffle is sweet and delicious
Service is very nice and the staff are friendly and nice
Most of the cafes an the area are small and full we had to come here again ( nice point for them )

So disappointed today, was recommended by a friend. Lovely building and decor. We placed order and one of us got what they ordered, I got another tables meal, waited 15 minutes for mine. Service inconsistent one minute waiting staff everywhere next minute all disappeared. Dessert not much better ordered dessert, one dessert brought, mine never appeared. Sat waiting again then told my dessert not available chose different one eventually brought, menu said traditionally served warm, arrived so cold obviously from fridge. I just gave up. What on earth is this about- cashless restaurant and having

Strictly speaking about the food. I was disappointed with their Pizza offering. Prices are fine for a proper stonebaked fresh pizza, but this was gas-station level in Italy I have to say.
Crust was too thin, a little burnt around the edges overall it felt more like a snack than a real satisfying meal and something you'd treat yourself too - especially given that you could get a better pizza for a similar price nearby.
Love the ambience of this place and am really posting this as some honest feedback. I think the place is managing things v well all considered with Covid etc.
