BUMPY has a team of dedicated, experienced on-road Instructors who aim to give you the best, safest and most comprehensive training to get you riding on the road, or increase existing experience. We offer alternative school provision, at different levels, for the ABC Motorcycle Maintenance over 1 or 2 years; full or half days, which will enable your progression into further education or apprentice positions.
On our 9 acre purpose built park we can provide training from the ages of 7 upwards on both Track and Trials bikes. Membership is also available for those who wish to ride their own bikes on the park. Thanks to you all for your patience over these testing times, but BUMPY is finally now in a position to offer lessons to those aged 7+, who are at least 120cm tall, and can ride a pedal bike unaided.

BUMPY (Birstall Urban Motorcycle Project for Youth) is a charity which was set up in 1989. To provide a safe, supervised place for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in riding motorbikes on road and off road. To educate young people who attend our facility in a range of programs including drugs awareness and the fire service are built into projects, motorcycles being the tool to engage the young people.
Birstall Urban Motorcycle Project for Youth was established in 1989 as a training, testing and skills centre aimed at young motorcyclists causing a nuisance on wasteland. The registered charity, nicknamed BUMPY, was the brain child of Police Woman Julia Morris, nee Rookledge, and followed a far from smooth course having taken four years to draw up.

Hey its kurt( the guy you said looked like karl) lmao,thanks again for the cbt,you did awesome putting my nerves at ease,enjoyed the fun style of teaching and the banter.
Very proffesional,good clean place with coffee and snacks available,all the staff were super friendly and welcoming,would recomend this place to all.
Hoping to be back as soon as i can for lessons so i get start my journey to getting my full license.

A friendly company with a great setup/location in Leeds, a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I did my Direct Access with them over a matter of weeks, and can vouch for them being a professional 5* company. The instructors are patient, great communicators, adapt to your needs, are non-judgemental and put you at ease throughout. Shout out to Martin (trainer) who remains cool, calm and collected no matter what, and generally a decent bloke and excellent trainer - thank you. As a company they are really helpful on the phone and always do their best to help. Highly recommended.

Very poor communication, virtually no customer service and they fail more people doing CBT than they pass, even though on the government website it clearly says “ you cannot fail or pass a cbt.
No real instructions given on how to improve, just book again and give us more money.
There are much nicer places to learn.
