Regency Bookshop

A treasure trove of books and knowledge from the lovely lady who gives Surbiton the independent shop that make a visit wanting you to to read everything, from crime novels to young adult the advice is incredible. I love Regency Bookshop, please support them, you won’t regret it.

My wife was rushed off her feet and went in this book store to find some quick and easy information about a few books. The lady in the back was absolutely rude and disrespectful. She had no knowledge about alot of questions that were asked, and thought her opinion was the best. She has absolutely no customer service training and should not be allowed to speak to people the way she did. Will be writing to the management. You can tell she's a racist too, as soon as she saw my wife's skin colour, and the way she was dressed (not in her usual business suit as it was a quick stop) the older lady's whole

Little gem of a bookstore..Great range. Very happy to order books, if not stocked, usually in by the next day!. And excellent stock of childrens literacy themed games ...Always manage to buy something I haven't actually gone in for!!!

Great customer service and amazing selection of books. Has everything from kids books, to YA, to adult fiction, biographies, non-fiction, and even maps. Love this bookshop!

I found this shop online and can't recommend enough! During the lockdown they still took orders over the phone for collection. The book I requested wasn't in stock, and wasn't even available from their usual sellers, so they contacted the publisher for me directly and then even messaged me a day later to say they had paid extra for express delivery, as it would arrive after the weekend (I had told them I was seeing a friend for whom the book was a gift so needed it by Saturday). They also wouldn't accept my offer of paying back the delivery charge. Lovely service that you definitely wouldn't get

This is an incredible little bookshop, very nice and the young lady was very helpful and kind. You could find so many books there. It's worth going there, there's noway you would leave without buying something.

This is the perfect bookshop, brilliantly run and always seem to have the book I want or if not they can get it for you the next day. They have unusual cards as well. This sounds bizarre but I love the smell of this bookshop which is so evocative of my childhood when I used to buy my ladybird history books before moving on to Georgette Heyer and then naturally Jilly Cooper which was my post A levels treat all those years ago. It's a gem of a bookshop, so use it or lose it.

I have been taking my 6 year old into this fantastic little shop for several years and it is a real experience - we spend ages browsing through all the lovely books. The manageress is fantastic and takes time to talk to you and find out what you are interested in so she can recommend books. She knows her books - great to have this hidden gem on our hightstreeet.
