Pitney Farm Shop
Welcome to our website, packed with news and information about Pitney Farm Shop, Somerset's leading farm shop that offers you the highest quality locally sourced organic produce at a price that doesn't cost the earth. We are currently operating slightly reduced hours. Due to the increase in demand for our produce, we are making more time to complete the prepartion of our products before opening.

Normal hours will resume in the future. So the big pig move is done. Under the organic system our pig herd is rotated, moving the whole herd to a new field every year at the end of wintertime.
Services
Our farm is called Glebe Farm. We farm 90 acres of organic mixed livestock and arable land. Also, in summer our animals graze on 40 acres of lush pasture on the Somerset Levels. It has been farmed by the Walrond family for over 200 years with three generations involved on the farm today. We converted the farm to organic production in 1999 and have been farming organically ever since.
Pitney Farm Shop attends several farmer and village markets in the county throughout the month. We bring along a selection of our homemade sausages and organic meats. See below for details for which markets we attend and when. We also hold special seasonal events throughout the year, this is where you will find details of those events.
The cabin can host three people for a short break or a long holiday on a friendly Somerset organic farm. For bookings please visit our Air bnb page. Two bedrooms to sleep three, one single bed, one double bed, shower room, fully equipped kitchen and waterless eco toilet. This picturesque little site is nestled amongst apple and plum trees, situated on our organic farm between the farm shop and the cafe.
The Pitney Farm Cafe, situated right opposite the Farm Shop. The cafe makes everything from scratch, offering brunch, lunch, evening events, cakes and more! It makes use all of our organic meat, eggs and veg picked from the fields right in front of the cafe windows. Everything is prepared here on our farm.
If you would like to get in touch then we would love to hear from you. For any questions about Pitney Farm Shop or Glebe Farm please contact Lizzie or Rob Walrond on 01458 253002 or by email. Arrived on the last day before a 2 week closure, so will need to visit again when things are in full swing to decide, but friendly and with an interesting menu.

This farm shop is brilliant. Excellent organic products especially the meat. Also very friendly and helpful staff. Add to this the wonderful cafe at the side of the shop which serves marvellous organic food from the farm and wonderful coffee. Lily is always extremely welcoming. A favourite couple of hours out for us.

What a lovely place and people. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit
Narrow roads, drive slowly and take care to find a wider place to pass other cars.
I would have given 5 stars but the same tong was used for the meat and veggie pastry, plus no energancy alarm (add a wireless bell plugged into the restaurant???) in the loo.
Cafe/Restaurant and Farm Shop, farm reared meat, eggs, veggies, dairy and dry goods.
Accessibility - level entrance or ramps, tough but level car park. Earth toilet, accessible but no emergency alarm.
Car Park - free.
Food - carnivores, veggies and vegan, exciting choice.
