In 1994 and against all the odds the day finally arrived when I got that most longed for and coveted promotion - yes, a junior managerial position in a bank! No more wearing the standard blue uniform and itchy white shirts, but the chance to wear exactly what I wanted.

Oh the excitement on that first Sunday evening with that specially chosen outfit hanging in the wardrobe - by the Thursday night of the same week, cue the frustration of having quickly run out of suitably appropriate clothing for a 24-year-old woman in a traditionally male environment.This led to many evenings and days of having the bed strewn with every conceivable clothing combination - some successful and others not so.

Ladies are you sick of struggling to find the perfect fit for your clothing? There's nothing worse than seeing a garment you love but because you are different to industry standard sizes on your top or bottom, or a tall lady or petite in stature, it just doesn't flatter you or fit you well.

Through our work with ladies in the office environment the inconsistency in the clothing industry is the single biggest complaint Working Wardrobe comes across.So, it's one of our key requirements that our ladies' dresses are consistently sized. If you buy one of our ladies' workwear dresses in a specific size, you can order another safe in the knowledge that the sizing will be totally consistent.

We at Working Wardrobe believe the right accessories provide finishing touches that make you stand out from the crowd - a simple chain can change the look of a dress or suit. We've also thought about the ladies that travel to work - we've sourced a range of beautiful scarves which will keep you warm as well as looking stylish.

Working Wardrobe is based in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate and we love meeting our customers around this area. We have attended a number of events where we bring along a selection of our clothing and accessories as well as providing a short fashion show (time permitting). We'd now like to extend this offer to any companies or networking associations across the Yorkshire and Humber area.

Here at Working Wardrobe we are very lucky to have our own in-house design team and we are constantly extending our own range. As part of our product portfolio we have introduced our Brand Services for companies who would like our expertise in creating a bespoke range of clothing for their talented female employees.
