Did you know you can now book GP Appointments in Mid Nottinghamshire on evening and weekends?. All GP Surgeries across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood can now offer evening and weekend routine GP appointments. These appointments are available to all residents who are registered with a GP Practice in Mid Nottinghamshire.

The appointment may not take place at your usual GP surgery, but at another nearby. Your GP surgery will be able to provide you with more information about the location at the time of booking an appointment. Here is a list of the GP Surgeries in your area. Appointments are available up to 8pm on a weekday, Saturdays mornings and Sundays from 9am - 1pm.
Services
Outside normal surgery hours (evenings, weekends and bank holidays) emergency cover for the practice is provided by Primary Care (PC24) Out of Hours service. PC24 is an urgent care centre based next to the Kings Mill Hospital Emergency Department (ED) that provides medical care for patients that do not need Emergency Department Care.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient. You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months.
GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who have chosen General Practice as a career and are continuing to gain more experience both in hospital posts and in the GP Surgery. They have a rigorous training programme to keep them up to date with the latest developments in medicine. GP Registrars work with the surgery for four or eight month blocks, running their own clinics under the supervision of the GP Partners.
Storing information in one place makes it easier for healthcare staff to treat you in an emergency, or when your GP practice is closed. This information could make a difference to how a doctor decides to care for you, for example which medicines they choose to prescribe for you. No, it is not compulsory.

A first class response always from Dr Ravi and the whole Millview Surgery team. Easy to get appointments, often on the same day.
