Red Paddle Co started in 2008 as a germ of an idea. Paddleboarding was just getting going, and they had a crazy idea that it could be made better with inflatable boards. People thought this was a bit strange. Surely you could never make the boards stiff enough to get the kind of performance you'd expect from a hard board?
After an incredibly successful period producing quality windsurfing equipment, Starboard entered the SUP market in 2006. Holding true to their core values they have since paved the way in development of the sport being the first to produce boards in wood construction. Starboard were also the first brand to realise the performance side of SUP even bringing out the first board under 7 foot!
Severne was established in 2003 in Australia by Ben Severne and has grown to become one of the largest and most respected windsurfing brands in the world. Their mission statement is a simple one: to build the best windsurfing sails possible to give you maximum enjoyment of your time on the water.
