St Mary's is a 18 place nursery situated in the beautiful Shropshire village of Albrighton and provides early years education for the children of the village, Cosford (including RAF Cosford) and the surrounding villages and hamlets. The nursery was established in 1982; however we have only occupied the current premises (next to St Mary's School) since 2001.
The nursery is a member of the PLA (Pre-School Learning Alliance); it is also a registered charity and is managed by a board of voluntary trustees. We work within the EYFS framework and Ofsted have rated us Outstanding. St Mary's Nursery Group has recently been rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

The nursery aims for all children to be able to reach their full potential in an enjoyable, happy and safe environment. The nursery strives to meet the individual needs of all children and support children from all backgrounds and with all needs.
We are committed to providing a high quality care and promoting the best practice and provide a wide range of stimulating activities and learning and development opportunities working in partnership with parents/carers.We are able to provide a safe natural garden for the children to explore as well as an all-weather surface outdoor play area.

St Mary's Nursery operates between the hours of 9.00am-12pm and in the afternoon 12.30pm- 3.30pm term time only, sessions are usually booked termly subject to availability. This takes place in the school hall of St Mary's School - an excellent opportunity for the children to familiarise themselves with school life, under the supervision of nursery staff.
St Mary's Nursery group follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which sets the standards from birth to 5 year olds on how they are progressing. At St Mary's we have adopted this framework into the everyday activities we plan with the children to help nurture their progression into school life.
We recruit highly skilled and experienced members of staff who share a passion for early years childcare that are selected through a safer recruitment process to ensure the appropriate people are employed to care for our children. The nursery is managed by a board of trustees consisting of a group of volunteers, the majority of which are parents and guardians of children who currently attend the nursery.
