Please visit the 'Parents' page on our website to access our 'Home Schooling Information' page which contains links to activities which can be completed in the home. This is a place where adults and children learn together. Therefore, we firmly believe that we have to work in partnership with parents/carers in order to achieve our hopes and aspirations for our children.

It is our belief that all children have an innate desire to learn and that it is our responsibility as educators to nurture this desire for learning in an environment that provides rich opportunities for adults and children to learn together. Nursery schools have the same school terms as other schools maintained by the City of Wolverhampton Council, but most are run on a part-time basis.
Asking questions is what brains were born to do, at least when we were young children. For young children, quite literally, seeking explanations is as deeply rooted a drive as seeking food or water. It is our belief that all children have an innate desire to learn.
It is our responsibility as educators to nurture this desire for learning in a place that provides rich opportunities for enquiry and research and where adults and children learn together.Adults and children working in groups are a very important aspect of our work; listening and responding to each other, child to child, child to adult and adult to adult.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is guidance published by the government about what maybe planned for children's learning from the birth to the age of five. The EYFS is in developmental age bands and the staff at Ashmore Park will talk more with you about what this means, for your child and yourself during our Parent Partnership meetings.
We will be continuing our collaboration with 4 West Midlands settings Madeley Nursery School (Telford & Wrekin), Hillfields Children's Centre (Coventry), Woodlands Primary and Nursery School (Telford & Wrekin) and 5 Pre-Schools in Stockholm, Sweden.
This research grant, awarded to our collaborative network will enable us to investigate and develop innovative enquiry based teaching and learning in which digital media is used creatively to generate thinking, knowledge and the expression of children's ideas. We look forward to sharing and working alongside our families, and disseminating research findings with local and national learning communities and internationally as the work progresses.

Ashmore Park Nursery Headteacher Sue Lacey said: We are trying to move away from the usual approach of using computers and tablets to play educational games or complete electronic worksheets. Instead, we are investigating ways of using digital technology in more creative ways, so that children are not sitting passively and simply consuming technology but are using it more interactively.

My dad, My brother, sister and I all attended this nursery, my son and daughter have both been here and my youngest will attend too, i don’t have a bad word to say. My daughter had speech problems when she started and even during the pandemic she has been given the most amazing support and her speech is near enough 100% now! Thanks to Andrea and her team! She cant wait to go to nursery every day she loves it so much! Thank you xx

Two out of my three children have attended Ashmore Park nursery (the third will too when shes old enough.) The nursery has never been anything short of fantastic, my kids looked forward to going to nursery, and the change in their confidence from the time they started to the time they left was unbelievable. Would definitely recommend to any parent
