A warm welcome awaits you at Glenmoriston Arms in the picturesque Highland village of Invermoriston. Situated on the Great Glen Way at the junction for Inverness, Fort William and Skye, we are the ideal base for touring and exploring the area. Whether you seek some peace and tranquillity or something a bit more strenuous you can find it here.
Surrounded by stunning scenery and amazing wildlife we have walking and cycling routes on our doorstep, but if you don't feel like walking any further than the bar to the garden with a cold beer on a hot day. Or. how about a 'Glorious Dram' sitting by the wood burner on a frosty evening in November?

Services
Fastest: Travelling from Carlisle. Follow the signs for Glasgow, until you are about 8 miles from the centre when you will see signs for the M80 and Kincardine Bridge. You must take this exit or you will end up in the middle of Glasgow. Keep following the signs for Kincardine Bridge and you will pick up signs for Stirling, which you follow & eventually Perth.
If you would like to visit Skye whilst you are staying with us we are delighted to have teamed up with WOW Scotland, who offer two Skye tours, both of which pick up and drop off outside The Glenmoriston Arms. Their Ultimate Isle of Skye Tour enables you to enjoy the Fairy Pools and experience all of the highlights of Northern Skye (The Quiraing, Kilt Rock, Portree and the Old Man of Storr), as well as seeing Eilean Donan Castle on the way home.
Everybody knows that we lie just a few minutes stroll away from the most famous stretch of water in the world. To reach it we would recommend that you take a walk down by the Moriston River, this takes just a few minutes and on the way you can take in Thomas Telford's (the architect of the Caledonian Canal) bridge built in 1813 and formerly used as the old road.
The Great Glen Way, a fairly new walking route that was created to add an extension to its much more famous and well established sister, The West Highland Way. The Great Glen Way stretches 73 miles from Fort William to Inverness following closely the line of the canal and passing some of the most beautiful scenery the Highlands has to offer.
The Bar area along with the reception area dates back to 1740 and forms the origins of the building. A sure indication of 'settling in' over the years is the now famous squinty door frame. The Grant family owned the Hotel for a couple of hundred years until 1985 when it was sold into private enterprise, but it cannot forget its history and many references to the Grant family remain in the Hotel today.

We cannot praise Ailsa and her team enough for the hospitality they offered us when we dined in the restaurant on 27th July. It was a special surprise occasion ( a big birthday! ) for my wife and we had most of… the extended family( 3 generations) with us, including a teenager and two children as well, 10 in all. I had arranged it weeks earlier through email with Ailsa after getting a recommendation from the lovely ladies at a nearby Cafe ( The Glen Rowan Cafe). The menu options were splendid and the quality of the food, service and friendliness were exceptional. Ailsa even provided a birthday

Excellent time had on a pit stop along Great Glen Way! Cullen skink soup was the most delicious I've had. I've been in previously for coffee and it's the good stuff!
Staff were super friendly and owner went over and above to help us with our bikes. Will definitely be popping back in for food and maybe a few beers next time!

We visited restaurant only and it was great. Area itself were food was served, was on a smaller side so felt a bit crowded and really warm. Food was delicious, we ordered steaks and even though I asked for rare got medium I didn’t send it back because it was just too tasty. Nice welcoming staff, lady that served us, I think her name was Kamila - was lovely. Thanks - we had a great evening!

Authentic Scottish food. We had the Haggis, the beef burger and the venison casserole. The burger was slightly on the lean side to my taste, but otherwise excellent. I also had a pint of local beer from the Isle of Skye and a dram of single malt whisky I've never heard of, both were excellent. All in all, a great experience.
