Sparkford Hall, A grand Georgian mansion set in secluded grounds shared only with a pair of tame Llama, a few tiny ponies and a brace of ducks, makes an incredible location for weddings, corporate events & private parties, with the freedom and creativity for all types of event. Sparkford Hall was home to the Bennett family who built the hall in 1878.
In 1998 the current owners took on the property and renovated it to the high standard it's in today. The house, out-buildings and grounds were respectfully modified to provide an incredible and unique experience for parties, breaks and celebrations.

The grand but secluded Grade II Georgian mansion that is Sparkford Hall boasts incredible rooms, grounds and outbuildings that we just love putting to use for unique, memorable and exclusive private events, all year round. We're definitely not your typical wedding venue. Sure, we can host a traditional white wedding reception, just like anyone else, but if you're looking for something daring, different and decadent, well, that's right up our alley! The grade II listed house and grounds can be entirely yours for the day, the weekend or the whole week.
Being close to major southwest cities and with good rail connections to the rest of the country, we're the perfect alternative venue for your next training day, or office escape. My work collegues have had an on going issue with this venue which goes back as far as 2019:
Initially We booked the venue for 2×7 days in 2019 (July and September). During our stay we had a lot of security issues around fire safety, electricity, plumbing etc which our staff repaired for the venue in order to make the place workable for our event and safe for our participants. After our event we were promised a refund of our housekeeping deposit which never arrived so we requested the owed money to be discounted against our future bookings.
Additionally on arrival we discovered that we couldn’t

I have booked this venue a very long time ago for an event, which got cancelled due to pandemic. We agreed to postpone it to a year later however restriction rules continued and we had to cancel it again. Than I asked for a refund as did not wanted to wait another year however they said they can not give me a refund, which I know now that they should have according to UK law. I asked them a date which we can do something small in return of the deposit I have paid, they agreed. Now it is one month before the gathering they have been avoiding my calls and they have send me an email saying they can

There was some trepidation amongst the 8 or 9 families getting together at Sparkford after such an unprecedented 18 months, but the five days could not have been better. The house is immense and beautiful, the rooms spacious and the beds comfortable. As we had over a dozen children of all ages with us and several pets the relaxed nature of the decor and furnishing was perfect for a very pleasant few days, and the wonderful Vincent was super quick to answer any questions we had or pop round with fresh towels, etc.

As I understand it, the company that rents this house out has gone into liquidation leaving people who had paid them money out of pocket by hundreds of thousands of pounds. Appreciate it’s been a tough time but not sure they should be continuing to take money when they aren’t offering any compensation at all. Just be careful when you book.

What a place. Lot of character and space. Perfect for large groups, events or parties. Could do with a little maintenance inside in places. Can be quite cold in winter specially in the basement. Damp in places. I guess in the summer is very different. In a cold late winter day i have found myself wearing a jacket in some areas. Would still give it 6 stars if i could though

Just reflecting on the weekend and wanted to say thank you so much for helping us put on such a great event 😊
Everybody was totally wowed by the location, the house, all the rooms (how comfy are the beds!!), and then the extra’s that we brought to make it specific for us. Kyle, nothing was too much trouble when we needed things looking at and it really did help to make the whole event such a success.
