My husband and I have for many years desired a different way of life to the hamster wheel we feel that we are on in the UK. France became the focus of our search and we set out to France to view properties. We fell in love with many during our search but it was the last house that grabbed both of us completely.
Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world. Our Chinese classes will help you to converse at beginner level, and we hope also to offer Intermediate Chinese classes in the near future, as the number of graduates from our Beginner Chinese classes increases. In the meantime, if you would like to move forward at a quicker pace we can offer Intermediate and advanced Chinese lessons one-to-one with a Chinese tutor.

My three year old daughter has been learning Spanish with Silvi for the last seven months and she has loved it from the beginning. Her vocabulary is fantastic and we love love to sing the songs and play the games throughout the week to support her learning. We are so happy we have been able to continue via Zoom whilst in the most recent lockdown, however Sadie can’t wait to get back to class. We miss you Silvi! X

Our son is 6 and has weekly online Spanish lessons with Senorita Silvie. He loves learning Spanish and is making sound progress. He enjoys how much Silvie makes the lessons fun and we often hear him laughing! He has a weekly piece of homework, so his vocabulary is improving quickly and he is transferring these skills to the real world, e.g. online clothes shopping. We are very pleased.

My 5 year old has been continuing his Spanish lessons with Silvi via Zoom and he really enjoys them. Am so happy he can continue with his lessons during lockdown as it adds some normality to his routine. Silvi makes the lessons fun and engaging and keeps his attention for the duration of the lesson, I would thoroughly recommend :)

Andrea our teacher, has excelled during this difficult time of Covid 19...She has run her Zoom lessons professionally and sympathetically ..my daughter has remained engaged and enthusiastic and is learning very well .The lessons are fun and as personal as those usually in their classroom. My almost 4 year old daughter usually enjoys Silvi's Spanish lessons at her nursery but during lockdown this has been done via Zoom and Eloise is loving it! Silvi manages to make learning a lot of fun with… brilliant songs, stories and videos. Eloise giggles her way through each lesson and is completely captivated! Thanks Silvi for helping us to keep a bit of normality and structure through these strange times!

Both my girls (5 + 3) have started learning Spanish with Silvi and they absolutely love it . They get so excited 😆 before the lessons and come away singing songs in Spanish and they have learnt so much already in the 6 or so weeks since starting ! Silvi is great with the kids and she makes it fun which is so important!

Silvi has been teaching Spanish to our Footprints children for at least 10 years! She provides fun and engaging Spanish sessions which involve all the children. The children are always happy and full of enthusiasm when she arrives at nursery. The parents are very impressed with the way their children learn Spanish and they always perform a Spanish song at their Graduation ceremony.
Silvi is always smiling and friendly with all staff and we value her dedication to our children.

My daughter Olivia had failed her maths functional skills 4 times. .We were really beginning to give up hope, when someone put me in touch with La Academia.
Andrea was fantastic and acted really quickly in suggesting a tutor she thought would be able to help Olivia.
We had 10 lessons with Katarina and she was fantastic, very professional and patient. .Olivia really enjoyed her maths tuition & I am very pleased to report she passed her exam...we are so grateful to La Academia and could strongly recommend them to anyone who struggles with maths

I have been learning Spanish with Valentina at La Academia since September, i cannot fault their service at all, it has been fantastic since day one. Staff are very patient and do a great job in group classes, making sure all students are getting involved and are becoming more confident each lesson.

I've been a student at L'academia on and off since 2008 and could not recommend it highly enough. All the teachers are extremely friendly and accommodating. I have had the same teacher now for 2/3 years, Sonia, and she's fantastic! The lessons are always fun, and tailored to my needs. They also have group classes but my own diary made it difficult to attend, but they are also fun, but my 1to1 classes have definitely improved my abilities as a Spanish speaker. I've recently moved away but I'm hoping to organise Skype classes still using them, rather than seeking an alternative.

My son has been a student of la Academia, via the after school Spanish Club at his Primary, for 2 years. He loves Andrea and Silvi, who have been teaching his group, and he is just loving his Spanish lessons.
The best part for me as a parent is that he has such a beautiful accent, and he is really happy to chatter away, not at all self-conscious. It's a very special gift that la Academia are giving him.

I recently completed a 6-week Chinese course for beginners at la Academia and really enjoyed it. I had never taken Chinese classes before, and found the pronunciation very difficult, but the teacher was very patient and helped and encouraged us all. There were 8 in my class, which was a good number, as you had plenty of time to practise speaking Chinese.
