Services
Walworth Castle Estate dates back to 1150 and can trace it's heritage from the Hansard family known as the "Handsome Hansard's". Their Heraldic Moto can be seen set in stone above the Ballroom entrance. The Hansard's are famous for chronicling the debates in the Houses of Parliament of which some of the debates can be seen today in the Library Tower which have been donated by previous MP's.
A delicious range of dainty sandwiches and homemade cakes and scones served with clotted cream and preserves, served with a pot of tea. In order to work at Walworth Castle hotel you will be required to be flexible and work over evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
We have some beautiful rooms which are located within the castle itself, as well as some located in an annex adjoining the main building. All our rooms throughout the hotel are tastefully designed with the guest in mind. We offer complimentary wifi throughout the hotel. As we are located in a rural location, the signal strength isn't super fast, although it should be strong enough for general internet browsing.
Dining at Walworth Castle gives you the chance to experience some of the most amazing dishes that the North-East has to offer. We source local, seasonal ingredients for our menus and our team of highly skilled chefs create menus which are delicious and enough to whet any appetite. We serve food all day, 7 days a week.

Had an absolutely amazing stay at Walworth Castle. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasure. The food was exceptional. Breakfast was good but the evening meals were superb, massive compliments to the chef. The castle was beautiful inside and our. We had an amazing stay for my partners birthday and will definitely return for another stay.

We stayed at the castle for a friend’s wedding for a weekend. The hotel was so clean and our room (19) was absolutely fantastic! The bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of space to hang clothes and we were provided with heating as the nights were a bit chilly. The staff went above and beyond, they were friendly, helpful and so welcoming. The food (we had breakfast twice and dinner once) was delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Stayed recently for 1 night never again for what we paid I could of had short break
away,room was in need of a lot of updating very basic. Breakfast the next morning I decided to have a yogurt to start with only to notice they were all 6days out of date,I brought this to the attention of the member of staff that was there who just picked them up and quickly left the room not even apologising.checked out and later that day rang the hotel to speak to the duty manager I was told the message would be passed on to her and she would call me back the call never came.rang back the next day and got to

We stayed at Walworth Castle for our daughter’s wedding over the weekend.The staff were professional, friendly ,and nothing was too much trouble for any of our guests.
I would like to give a special thank you to Jolene ,the events manager, who ensured the wedding ran smoothly but also gave it the personal touch to make it a special day and special moment in all our lives. We stayed to nights to celebrate my daughter's wedding. Our room was clean and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was excellent catering for veggies and vegans and the staff very hospitable and helpful. The wedding was amazing and Jolene and her team were on hand throughout. The waiting and bar staff were also helpful and friendly. We even managed to get some of the bar staff up for a dance after some coaxing. The whole experience was fabulous and I can't thank you all enough for making it memorable. I can't believe 10 years after celebrating her 21st there, my daughter Grace chose to have her wedding

Was a return visit for my husband and I to Walworth Castle, our daughter got married there! Was a fantastic memorable day!
Staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble! Food was excellent! Breakfast and evening meal! Best steak I have had in years!! Only problem during our stay, they were having problems with their internet connection, which was being looked into - it did not spoil our stay! Would be happy to return there again!!

Disappointed as we booked a suite but it felt very basic. The carpet looks like it is from a cheap buy to let. The TV is not in the bedroom so you'd have to sit on an uncomfortable sofa bed to watch it. The radiator in the bathroom doesn't work. It looks a lot posher from the outside and on the website. We had a deal with cocktail (which was great) and dinner but if you chose anything not on the fixed menu it was at full price rather than just the difference, which seems miserly.
