Services
The Blue Sky team is all dedicated childcare professionals who bring a wide range of skills and experience to the nursery. Every staff member loves children and finds fulfilment from playing with them and helping them learn and develop in a loving environment. The Daily operation is overseen by the Nursery Manager, Sarah Ayres, who has a wide range of childcare experience.
The Blue Sky Day Nursery is open 51 weeks of the year and offers care for children from 6 weeks until they start school. Children have access to a wide variety of toys, games and activities which they have free access to throughout the day. Each child is given the chance to play with really messy activities including painting, junk modelling, play dough, sand and water, because of this it is best to send them in play clothes.
We call our baby room The Pixies and it is set up to look after babies from 6 weeks old. The pixies room has a large carpet area so babies can roll and crawl and practise their walking skills in comfort. We have a dedicated snuggly sleep area where babies can take their naps how ever you want be that in cots, pushchairs, mats or the swing.
We have great fun with our two year olds in the Imps room. After breakfast we have free time to explore the toys and play with our friends, learning social and behavioural skills through play. Developing areas such as sharing and turn taking, enjoying imaginative play and learning about the world around us.
We call our pre-school children the Elves. From the term after a child turns 3 they are entitled to 15 hours of funded preschool education. We are pleased to be able to offer children this time whilst at Blue Sky either as part of their Day Nursery day or as separate sessions. In the preschool our experienced and loving team help prepare the children, both socially and emotionally for their next step in their journey through to school life.

An absolutely amazing nursery, all I ever wanted and more for my daughter. She’s 18 months and started when she was 3 months old. The love and nurturing she has received is second to none. They love your children like they are their own, I would even say it’s her second family. Never felt so safe even throughout the pandemic, especially with the procedures put in place! Deffo give it a view if you are thinking of popping your little one in nursery 💕💕

As a first time parent, we was nerveous about our daughter starting nursery and didn’t know what to expect. How ever Blue Sky have been amazing and we can’t thank them enough. Our daughter loves going and she can’t wait to go. They make us feel welcome and make us know our daughter is going to be well looked after and they’ve also been brilliant helping her learn. Would definitely recommend this nursery

Two of our children have attended Blue Sky Day Nursery in the past and we have always been happy with the care that they have received. Our youngest child will be starting in the baby room soon and I know she will be very well cared for by the lovely staff. I highly recommend this Nursery and Out of School club 😀

The staff are Brill, really caring and supportive, been great with my daughter that isnt the best eater and gone out of there way to reassure me and try help me. always greeted with a smile and my daughter jumps into the girls arms for cuddles as soon as she gets there. been going around 9 months now as she still loves it and has thrived. happy mama here!

Really friendly and attentive staff who always put my mind at rest when my one year old is not feeling 100%. I feel so confident leaving him in their care and know he’ll get extra cuddles if teething etc... He does so many varied activities, tries new foods and comes home with lots of art!! I love reading his book which records his day with Blue Sky. Could not recommend this nursery more. We take advantage of the flexible days, brilliant service. Thank you Blue Sky

Its a hard decision choosing to use a nursery and harder still to find one that fits the needs of both child and parent. Blue Sky have met and then exceeded what I was looking for. Seeing our daughter laugh, play and learn is fantastic but seeing her comforted and soothed by the team at 'drop off' turns those heartbreaking moments into heartwarming ones. There are so many little touches that make this place special but the genuine care shown by every single member of the staff cannot be understated.

My daughter Liliana loves coming here. I have really seen her grow in confidence since she started here, and her speech has come on amazingly. The staff are lovely and there are always fun activities for the… children, with a big focus on learning and development. I am so happy to have found such a great nursery for my daughter and I highly recommend it.
