Played an open competition at Abergele Golf Club and it was an excellent experience - everything was perfect from the welcome in The Pro Shop, to the condition of the course. I'd highly recommend playing here in such a friendly atmosphere. It's a good test for low handicap golfers and the fairways are wide enough for the low handicap players.

Services
Regarded as one of the most picturesque courses in Wales with the magnificent backdrop of the historic Gwrych Castle, Abergele Golf Club remains a firm favourite with both members and visitors who visit from all over the golfing world. Abergele Golf Club was formed in 1910 and the site's pavilion was opened two years later near Gwrych Castle.
Abergele Golf Club has been running for over 100 years, and throughout our history it wouldn't have been the same journey if it wasn't for the time, effort and passion given by our staff members and volunteers. From our tireless groundsmen to our dedicated administrative staff, to our volunteers at numerous social events, we are Abergele Golf Club because of the people who make it so.
Abergele Golf Club deems that upon payment of membership or green fees, all members, guests, and visitors have given their consent to be bound by both the restrictions and penalties imposed by this code of conduct. Members shall be liable for any breach committed whether by themselves or their guests.
Abergele Golf Club is nestled between the rolling Welsh mountains and the beautiful North Wales coastline. Situated next to the prestigious Gwyrch Castle (location of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here 2020), it is located in Abergele, a historic market town, and one of a number of interesting towns and villages to visit during your stay.
Abergele Golf Club has been long regarded as one of the most picturesque settings for the sport in Wales, yet the 18 holes themselves are both complex and challenging, providing a fabulous game for amateurs and professionals alike. Weather wise, the prevailing wind will add to the difficulty of the course, and there will be several holes where you will wish you could replay them again and again.

Very nice clubhouse, good food and friendly and helpful staff. Course is fairly flat and an easy walk (except the last 2 holes). Greens are very interesting! It was in good condition when we played but I would imagine it can get very wet in the Winter. The 18th is an exceptional hole and with a sub £30 green fee it's good value.

Abergele Golf Club has received positive reception from the press as being "one of the most picturesque courses in Wales". Trudy Carradice wrote in her book Golf in Wales: A Pictorial History that the course is "one of the most interesting in Denbigshire and is well worth playing if you should ever find yourself on this stretch of the North Wales coast".
