Services
The side bearing journals are oversize diameter to accommodate 16 spline shafts without machining. The Tracsport English aluminium differential housing is cast in L169TF heat treated alloy, achieving almost 5 kg in weight saving compared to an original Ford cast iron housing. Timkin pinion bearings are supplied and fitted.
Tracsport gearboxes have been fitted to my Manta and latterly my Escort BDG. These boxes are superbly manufactured with lots of innovative design features that ensure almost a fit and forget approach. Based on the Ford 4 speed the gear kit is straight cut but with lightened gears, reducing rotating mass helps to provide a lighter and smoother driving experience.

Bought a gear kit off Steve at SP and had to join a waiting list! But to be fair once it came I had no complaints, easy to fit once I'd phoned for a bit of advice, he's very chatty and full of detail and knowledge of his subject... really pleased with the results and times I'm getting since it was fitted. The real deal, thanks!

I bought one of his gear kits for my type 9 and had it built locally. I have to say that having spoken to him on landline on 3 occasions I found him to be arrogant, condescending and loving the sound of his own voice. I dare you to try and get a word in.I’ve always used a different brand for my gear kits so when I tried this type some of the characteristics were different so phoned for advice. Wouldn’t use again simply down to customer service!

Dont bother with anything else no matter how good it may seem this guys philosophy and engineering skills are outstanding.
