Procomp Motorsport is a family owned and run business. It started in the mid 70s, with the previous decade being spent in machine tool engineering. In the early years all forms of motorsport work was undertaken including: karting, hot rods, drag racing, and rallying. Slowly circuit racing became the main obsession and kit car racing in particular.
As time progressed the Westfield became our weapon of choice. We built many cars for the 750 MC Kit and Supersports Championship as well as Westfield's own 'one make' championship. Today Westfield's are still part of our busy work schedule. By the end of the 90's we had at our disposal so much information and design ideas that the only way forward was to build our own car, the LA Gold, which became an instant success.

Services
The LA gold is designed and manufactured to be used on the race track. We produce a lightweight, strong, safe car that's practical with no gimmicks. Its outstanding handling comes from years of work on this type of car. We have an ongoing development program to make the best use of new tyres and lightweight car engines.
The LA Locost kit is sold for use in the 750MC Locost Championship. Just because the championship is called 'Locost' it doesn't mean that we cut corners or lower our standards. The kit is slightly more expensive than other Locost manufacturers (like for like), but with a straightforward build and improved handling on track, this extra expense soon pays dividend.
Steve Races one of our LA Gold Cars in the 750mc Kit Car Championship having previously raced in the 750mc Locost Championship.
