Some of our customers are amazed to learn that we actually manufacture our garments in the UK and that our entire operation (design, manufacture, order processing and despatch) happens under one roof! So here's our brief history. Sulis was founded in 1993 by husband and wife team Mark and Fiona Faulkner.
Silk lingerie designed and made in the UK by Sulis Silks Ltd, specialists in working with silk. Because we manufacture we are often able to make garments longer or shorter or perhaps in another colour as a special item. We use 100% pure silk satin sometimes called charmeuse, and stretch silk satin which is 91% silk, 9% elastane.
Beautiful pure silk lingerie and nightwear in sizes 16-24. We have a gorgeous selection of camisoles, French knickers, briefs, slips, playsuits and nightdresses in silk and lace specially designed for larger sizes. We have also included some items from our classic silk and silk jersey ranges, to show how they look on our lovely plus size model.
There is possibly no other natural fibre more suited for nightwear and underwear than pure silk jersey. Knitted from high quality filament silk threads, our silk jersey is luxuriously smooth and lustrous and has a natural stretch that moves with the body. As well as feeling wonderfully soft and light against the skin, silk jersey has the ability to absorb and wick away moisture, so keeping even the most sensitive skin comfortable at all times.
Not all silk jersey is the same. We use a heavier weight jersey for our thermal wear, so our garments will keep you warmer and last longer. We don't mix silk with other fibres as we believe that pure silk gives the best thermal performance, (and also that it is the softest against your skin). We make these garments in the UK.

I bought the TD98 Gabrielle Teddy in Midnight blue for my wife for our honeymoon. I ordered it on September 25 and it arrived quickly form the UK to Texas, well ahead of our wedding on November 2.
