At Chalkhill Primary School we aim to provide a safe, secure and healthy environment where all children are encouraged to be independent learners and thinkers. Through quality teaching and high expectations we provide opportunities for our children to access an enriched and creative curriculum. Make good or better progress to reach their potential through the school day as well as extended school activities.
When you visit us at Chalkhill Primary you will be greeted by the lively learning 'buzz' characteristic of schools where teaching is much more than 'delivering' lessons and where learning is not just a matter of 'reaching or exceeding levels'. Children will be eager to tell you about their learning and keen to discuss the latest book they are reading.
All Brent maintained schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and are supported by the local authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.
All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with SEND being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible, where families want this to happen. The local authority has described their local offer for children and young people from 0 to 25 with SEND and their families in Brent schools http://www.brent.gov.uk/localoffer.

The internet is an amazing resource, overflowing with knowledge, games and communities of people. At Chalkhill Primary School we make sure our pupils are aware of some of the risks to safety that are online and what to do to stay safe. We do so through computing and PSHCE lessons, assemblies and workshops.
