We are proud of every child who enters our door at Parklands. We can see the potential of every child and encourage, encourage, and encourage. We praise loudly, and grizzle softly. We are a 1.5 form entry school with Reception through to Year 6. School is organised in 3 phases - Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception); Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6).
We also have a state of the art Resourced Provision with 25 places for children with learning difficulties. We currently have 360 children on roll. Reception entry - most of our children come into our Reception from Parklands Children's Centre. However, we do of course welcome children who are new to the area or who have been with child minders or private childcare providers.

The Governing Body consists of a combination of people nominated, appointed, elected or co-opted by the City Council, the Parish Council, local community, staff and parents. The Governors spend a morning each term visiting the classrooms and seeing the children enthused by learning. The Senior Leadership Team are held to account by the Governors and each member attends at least two GB meetings a year.
The Resourced Provision in Parklands Primary is fondly known as 'RP'. It is a specialist resource which supports children to reach their full potential. It is a nurturing environment which is designed to allow children to follow their own interests and to develop as competent and independent learners.

Declan stepped in for Tyler today and his bravery was rewarded by taking the cash with Evie - well. This week our Writers of the Week showcased a variety of genres including letter writing, character descriptions, non-fiction fact sheets and story. Amazing writing this week including acrostic poems, story settings, school comparisons and yeti.
