Even if you are paying for a MORTGAGE VALUATION REPORT, it is still advisable to arrange a SURVEY with your own SURVEYOR. Established in 1982, Campbell Clarke is an independent firm providing residential Surveys and Valuations in Kent & South East London. We produce reports for Private Clients, Banks, Building Societies, Solicitors and Housing Associations.

We work in all Dartford & Bromley postcode areas. In S E London we specialise in Blackheath, Greenwich, Charlton, Eltham, Woolwich, Abbey Wood, Thamesmead and parts of Lewisham. We provide Energy Performance Certificates. As your home is probably the largest single investment you will make, we would encourage you to commission an independent survey prior to purchase.
Services
Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) are being introduced to help improve the energy efficiency of buildings. An EPC is commissioned by the vendor, or their agent, from an accredited Energy Assessor. It records how energy effecient a property is and advises on ways of improving its effeciency. If you are buying or selling a home you now need a certificate by law.
A Building Survey is particularly suited to older properties and listed buildings or buildings that are unusually constructed, have been renovated or are dilapidated. The report provides details of the property's construction, materials used and major & minor faults. The survey can be more thorough if the property is unfurnished and uncarpeted.
The HSV uses a standard reporting format and is suited to conventional properties that are in reasonable condition. The report focuses on major and urgent problems and is intended to help you to: make an informed judgement on whether to buy the property; work out if the property is a reasonable price and be aware of liabilities for repair, prior to entering into a legal obligation to purchase.
The Party Wall Act provides a framework for preventing and resolving disputes in relation to party walls; boundary walls and excavations near neighbouring buildings. If you are not sure whether or not your (or your neighbour''s) intended works fall within the scope of the Act then we are happy to provide advice.
As members of the RICS, we carry out two types of survey designed to report building defects. You can chose from a Homebuyer Survey & Valuation or a Building Survey. Either survey will provide you with detailed information and a professional, unbiased opinion about the property. NB: A Mortgage Valuation is a limited inspection to ensure that the property is worth the money being lent to you.

Had such a good experience with Campbell Clarke on our home buyers report, Steve did a brilliant job and Lin was great too. Very trustworthy company, I have recently recommended them to friends who will be needing a HBR soon too.

Would strongly recommend the services of Campbell Clarke. We were in need of an independent RICS Valuation Survey for our Help to Buy Scheme and the team here were prompt, offered some great advice and everything was done very quickly and smoothly.

A professional and friendly company who provided us with both excellent customer service and excellent, informative surveys. Due to house sales falling through we used their service three times on three separate properties - each time we received really quick and helpful responses to our queries, including on what type of survey to get and further clarification on any technical aspects in the surveys themselves. Lin and Steve were both really friendly and always tried to slot us in as soon as they could. It can't be overstated how useful their professionalism and helpfulness was in the crazy, complicated
