In 2012, after the local council stopped providing Watersports facilities, Medway Watersports Trust was formed. Medway Watersports Trust's charitable objectives are to provide watersports for the youths and young adults of Medway, especially the disadvantaged. We also offer watersports activities to the wider population and encourage the people of Medway to take full advantage of the River Medway and other facilities on their doorstep.
Medway Watersports Trust is an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) training centre, a British Canoeing training centre and is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Services to provide facilities to local schools and youth organisations. We are a volunteer led organisation and always welcome new volunteers to help with maintaining our boats and premises and staging events and Watersports training.

I wanted to get back into dinghy sailing after a very long time away 30 years after last being In a boat. I came across medwaywatersports on Google and booked a social sailing session. couldn't have been happier. Bob and his team made me very welcome and soon had me on the water and sailing a dinghy. all equipment supplied including life jackets.… would recommend if dinghy sailing have a wetsuit although would not be surprised if the centre has these to.

Amazing place with amazing activities. My 10 year old and 9 year old had an amazing time here doing several different activities, all well managed. Volunteers were so polite and helpful, can’t wait for the kids to join in with future half term/summer holiday activities. 5/5 would recommend to everyone.

My daughter loved the half term activity. Staff were great and answered every enquiry which meant leaving my child in their care was at ease. There is also young staff members who I can only describe as inspirational and a great role models to younger children. The sort of people I would want me children around and a credit to their parents. All round good expirence and highly recommend.
