Worst £500 I’ve spent! Not even had the mattress for 6 months and it’s lost all shape and very uncomfortable to sleep on. So disappointed as I was lead to believe this was a good mattress to go for, I could of gone else where and got a mattress of better quality and less money!

Great service. Andy was very knowledgeable and helped me chose a bed and mattress. booked a delivery when another store had let me down.

Bad quality furniture think they are above the law and won’t agree to the consumer rights act 2015. Have a current complaint with the ombudsmen against my bank who reversed a charge back but if all fails I will be going to civil claims

Both my partner and I are keyworkers. We bought this mattress for £600 in June 2020 and was advised to buy the mattress to support both our on going back problems. We did this in good faith.
I have spoken to the store on two occasions, firstly online and secondly on the phone. The problem is the mattress, which was meant to be firm, is sagging and dips causing us further back pain. We were told initally to contact the company after lockdown, which is understandable but also not very helpful when you can't sleep and have to be up each day to support covid recovery.
Finally, when the shop opened

My bed broke suddenly so needed a new one urgently. I phoned Hamseys and a gentleman answered named Andy. He was very helpful and the same day I went and tried out a bed in the shop. It was perfect. I was given a massive discount for all the bed and new mattress. Includes delivery and set up in room of choice in house. Take away old item as well. The new bed will be here very shortly. The service Hamsey provide is second to none. There was absolutely nothing to fault in this transaction. I would recommend to anyone who wants a 1st class service and choice.

I highly rate Hamseys we have brought a whole wardrobe set including bedside and drawers and two double mattress’s from these guys and they are all of a very high standard. The are very knowledgeable they listen to what you ask for and try and match you with that. I have gone to some of the well known shops prior to here and there isn’t just the same care. I will happily be recommending to all friends and family. I have just got my mattress for my room today and it looks about 4 x what I paid for it! It’s thick comfortable and has given some height to my bed! Very happy!

Easy to build and good quality, great all round service
Best for price and delivery. Only downside would be fixtures and fitting’s if these were marked as to what goes with where, building the bed would be so much easier, however an absolutely beautiful bed.

Fast, efficient and very helpful
Hamseys were great today. Altaf helped us with our purchase and had noted we had been to the branch a few times as we were torn between 2 Mattresses. He was great, helpful but not pushy and answered all our questions.

Needed to change beds so stopped by Hamseys as it's local. Served by Andy who was very pleasant and patiently showed us various options. He also has a sense of humour. We bought 3 beds and headboards, and the delivery came with free set-up. Having had such an excellent service in store we decided to replace existing headboards on other beds. Good prices on all items. The delivery guys were excellent also - they set up all the beds and headboards and took all wrappings away. These are not quite one month in place, so we hope the quality remains as good as the items look.

I recently purchased a bed and mattress package they had going in there 10 day mattress sale. For the price I paid for the mattress I got the ottoman and headboard free! I am Absolutely delighted with the quality and comfort.

Hamseys have been around for over 30 years, and claim to be the one of the cheapest bed shops around.


I have never bought anything from there, because on the two occasions that I wanted to buy something they were the most expensive shop. I saved £130 on a bed and another £120 on bunk beds for my children by going elsewhere both times.


Make sure you wear a suit and tie when you go there. The first time I went, I wore jeans and a t shirt and was ignored for 20 minutes, with people coming in after me getting served first. The next time I went, I wore a suit and the roles were reversed and
