We've been in the bed making line (not tables - that's another story) since the 1970s. That's what we do. Cabinet-makers, ships' carpenters and other craftsmen fashioned the construction of our first bed frames. We still employ their methods. Styles and finishes have evolved over the years but the core of the bed remains the same - robust, reliable and built to last.

All our beds are available in single, double, kingsize and super kingsize or can be made to measure. They usually have a headboard and are available with or without an end, and in a variety of wood finishes - beeswax (free), old pine, light oak, dark oak, red mahogany or painted. Our 120 small double is ideal for teenagers.
The bed frames are handmade using traditional construction methods here at our workshop. These require exact measurements of thickness, depth and length, allowing for wood's tendency to slight movement as it reacts to temperature change. We make the frames in all sizes and a variety of styles. In addition to our standard range, all our frames can be custom-made to non-standard sizes.
Our under-bed storage boxes are made of the same Swedish pine timber we use for our bed frames. Just like our frames and mattresses, these storage boxes are made to order and come in a range of John Myland wood finishes and Farrow & Ball colours. While two of these free-standing boxes will smartly complement our single beds, four is the perfect accompaniment for our doubles.
Kim's genuine nature and level of customer service blew me away - and I wasn't even a customer! I wasn't looking for a bed and was out on a run - my phone ran out of battery and the rain was bucketing it down. She very kindly charged my phone for me, let me warm up by a radiator and even hop in one of the beds to try it out!

Good quality beds which are excellent value as they last forever! They deliver & assemble for you! I've been a customer since 1985. Our very first bed is still going strong. Unfortunately when we had children I foolishly bought some flat pack furniture from you-know-where in an attempt to save money but those beds have fallen apart and I've now replaced them with Big Table beds. Don't make the same mistake!

Wonderful service.. I bought a new mattress for my mum and when they delivered they took the old one off the bed and remade, sheets duvet everything. All this in a road crawling with traffic wardens. So kind she was delighted and she loves her new mattress. I've bought a few beds and mattresses here and they are excellent, last for ever, brilliant.

I have just purchased my third set of beds from Big Table. Set 1 in 1995 is still going strong although with a new mattress. Set 2 in 2009 has original mattresses and is still in use. Set 3 has just been purchased.
When we moved from London to Derby to built our new house I did not hesitate to contact Kim at Big Table to supply more beds. It was well worth the trip down to the showroom to pick out the beds we needed. Tony at AHL Logistics has been brilliant in delivering and assembling them for us.
The beds are robust, well made and long lasting, and the mattress (luxury ortho) very comfortable

I have been meaning to write this review for over a year now when I first bought my incredible Big Table Bed. However on the positive side I can prove the high quality of the bed as I'm still just as happy with the support and v comfortable sleeps. It's a bed that I look forward to getting home and jumping into everyday!!
Not only is their product exceptional and tailored to meet your requirements. The customer service was incredible. The turn around when asked for a customised Farrow & Ball paint job was within the week. The team also disassembled my horrible old bed and removed it from my room

We bought a bed and mattress for my elderly mother in law and would not hesitate to recommend the Big Table. We could not have been happier with the service or the product. The staff/owners were really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable (and not at all pushy). She did not order it until early December and so we were really pleased to get it delivered before Christmas.They did everything they said they would at the agreed time as far as delivery was concerned and went out of their way to assist re dismantling and removing the old bed and mattress. The bed and mattress are great pieces of craftsmanship

I've had two Big Table beds since 1991. Only replaced the mattresses this year. They are very comfortable, sturdy and last. Their customer service is incredible, they fit a delivery into a perfect time for me, and helped me fix a minor problem with the older bed (a frame they sold me over 20 years ago, no charge for a part I needed). Their beds look great too, much better than those bulk pine furniture shops, quality well worth it.
