We offer a range of watersports, including stand up paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking, all in the safety of Portland Harbour, a beautiful stretch of water that's accessible in most conditions. Our fully qualified and experienced instructors are here to help you try something new, and we offer equipment hire if you want to do your own thing.
Our CrossFit box will help you become fitter, faster and stronger, whether that's to help you improve at your chosen watersport, or for another personal fitness goal. The classes we run are designed to push you to your limit in a way that's safe for your body. We love to meet other people with a passion for the sea, so come down and have a chat.

Services
We're a friendly bunch of water and fitness lovers - and we're always happy to meet anyone else who shares our passions, or who just wants to know more about getting active on the beautiful Jurassic Coast. Weymouth Watersports & Fitness Club was founded by Richard Fabbri. All he had initially was a truck, some SUPs and a vision to introduce stand-up paddleboarding to Weymouth and Portland.
Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) has become incredibly popular in recent years - and we love it. We've been offering SUP lessons and tours for many years, making us one of the most experienced SUP centres on the Jurassic Coast. We have a great team of ISA-qualified instructors, who are here to help you get out on the water for the first time, or hone your existing SUP skills.

We have BCU-qualified instructors and guides who are on hand to help whether you're getting used to a kayak for the first time or want a knowledgeable local guide to help you navigate the waters around the Fleet, Portland and its harbour.We hire out our kayaks and also run kayak safaris to show you some of our beautiful local coastline, all part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that is the Jurassic Coast.

Please be aware that you cannot pre-book rentals during holidays nor weekends. We work on the basis of First In First Serve during those times. During term, we are not open all the time. If you can't find any rental slot that suits you, send us a message and we will try to do our best to accomadate you.
We will send the voucher to the person and email you indicate. We will send you a copy of that voucher. The person you are giving this voucher to will be able then to redeem it online by entering the booking code. If not all the value is used, the remainder will be able to be used whenever they want.

Had a fab experience. Great assistance from the first phone call when we enquired, to Sophia answering our endless email questions. On the day Tim our instructor was fantastic. A passionate kayaker, who made our day with his excellent knowledge of the area and kayaking. He shared his Tims top tips to take us from real billy beginners to a group who kinda looked like we knew what we were doing.

My family had a tour during a break away. There is adequate parking but the machine only took cash. Communication was great from the start of my enquiry many months ago. On arrival, Tim our Instructor had a wealth of knowledge and experience and you can clearly see he is very passionate about what he does and wanting to share this with others. He made us all feel comfortable from the very start and was very friendly and patient with us all and was kind enough to take this photo! We had such great fun and it's ignited a passion for kayaking. Thank you Tim and Team.

Learnt kayaking in the Portland harbour from these guys. Tim was our instructor, he’s passionate and is a great trainer. Lisa, at the shop was so helpful and pleasant. They have changing rooms which is a great advantage compared to other groups that are set up in vans. Parking is public and separate so we did have to pay: no contactless option so don’t forget to bring change.
