Services
All our vans are regularly serviced and have an MOT. They include 24/7 RAC breakdown cover in the event you do have a problem (we hope you never have to use it). They are thoroughly cleaned before each hire. Worldpay is our preferred method for payment - this is safe and secure. We can accept payment by direct bank transfer but you would need to contact us for booking using this payment method.
Archie is our only automatic (DSG) in the fleet. This is a 2022 T6.1 Campervan which currently won't be available until summer 2022 as in the factory. Finished in Metallic Mojave Beige. This camper has 2 single front seats "captains chair" that both swivel 360 degrees, therefore its restricted to 4 passengers and is a tailgate version.
Clementine was converted by specialists Danbury in Bristol and is fully loaded with equipment you would expect. There is a fitted sink, gas hob and a grill (note: not all campers you may see for hire have a grill). Clementine is four seat belted and a 4 berth vehicle. Two single seats at the front and a bench seat in the rear that folds down (rock 'n' roll') to make a double bed.
Hector is a 2019 T6 Highline VW Campervan; this is a modern vehicle with 5 speed gearbox, power steering and drives very much like a large car. Hector has five seat belts and is a 4 berth vehicle. Speak to us if you need beds for 5. Three seats in the front and a 2-seater bench seat in the rear that folds down to make a comfortable double bed.
Fully comprehensive insurance for the first driver (surcharge for additional drivers). Unlimited mileage. Our vans are fully equipped with everything you need for your holiday, plates, bowls, cooking equipment, mugs, camping wine glasses, tumblers, cutlery, washing up bowl, washing up liquid, cleaning cloths, bin bag, dust pan and brush, tea towels, salt and pepper, tea and coffee, sugar, electric heater, lamp, camping chairs.

After our first campervan holiday in Stanley we are converts to vanlife! We did a mini road trip across Dartmoor and Cornwall in June and loved every minute. The van was equipped with everything you might need down to washing up liquid and tea towel and even teabags! Camp chairs were also provided so the only thing we needed to bring was clothes!… Lisa and Jon are so friendly and helpful and we’d definitely recommend using this family run business. We enjoyed our trip so much that we have booked again for the end of summer, this time in Ozzie, can’t wait!

As a newbie to the camper van experience, Lisa & Jon were so helpful & professional, answering all questions promptly, providing excellent advice & despite a delayed arrival, were very accommodating. Hector was a dream to travel and stay in, the most perfect home for our time away. It contained everything you could need for your holiday, and the dogs absolutely loved it ! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this family run business and hope to be able to hire one of their vans again in the future.

Arriving to pick up Skye our home for the next week we were met by Lisa & Jon , such a lovely couple, and we’re given an informal lesson on how to use things & how to drive safely. Initially my husband was quite nervous driving her even though he’s a very confident & able driver but soon felt more relaxed & it became part of the overall experience! We loved our holiday in Skye & even hod to do some wild camping!! It was such good fun & the van was comfortable , clean & has everything you could need .

BEWARE, BE VERY AWARE!!!!!
We rented Olive for 7 days from 17 July paying £658 and leaving a security deposit of £750.
After driving approximately 40 miles Olive broke down. We suspected the clutch had gone. We had no choice but to call the RAC out. After a three hour wait the RAC confirmed that the clutch had gone and was irreparable at the roadside leaving us with no option but to be towed back to Sidmouth. VWKamperhire were updated by telephone and text throughout this time and were extremely apologetic that the breakdown had ruined our holiday stating they did not have spare parts in stock

We spent a week in Olive and absolutely loved it! It was quite an adventure with a 2year old and a 2 month old but we have made memories that will last forever. Including surviving a storm!
Olive is a real gem, and she turned heads everywhere we went. It was lovely trundling along the lanes of Devon and Cornwall and getting waves and smiles.
The van was well equipped with most cooking utensils and crockery. We also hired bedding which was great and saved us packing it!
Jon and Lisa were really friendly and helpful and responded quickly to any question or need we had.

We took Skye on our festival adventure and for some camping afterwards. What an absolutely fabulous holiday. Skye is a dream to have and is fully equipped with everything you need. Lisa and Jon who run this company deliver fantastic customer service with an excellent website, friendly manner and making it all as easy as possible. We can't wait for our next trip!

Absolutely Super! The professional and thorough web site with numerous photos sets the scene from the first impression. I gather they also have a Social Media presence for those that follow Instagram and Facebook. Value for money as well. Excellent customer service & communication from friendly, pleasant and welcoming owners Lisa & Jon from the start.
We chose the excellent VW T2 Clementine (from a selection available) all beautifully presented inside and out and smelled wonderful. Everything thought of and more. They ensure a very thorough handover to ensure you are happy and comfortable with
